This dye only affects organic fibers like cotton, nothing synthetic. That's why the treads stayed white as well.

I would dip the shoes 👞 and boots 👢upside down so the soles don't get dyed. You can also spray a waterproof shoe protector on the part of the shoes you dont want to dye since Vaseline is so greasy. Spray the inside of the fabric with dye sealer as well to prevent it from rubbing off on socks and skin. Use the right fabric dye and follow directions. They now have fabric dye pens and brushes, so you can just color by hand.

So.... I tried this and my shoes are pretty much ruined. Idk where I went wrong. I have a pair of all white vans, around the ankle they turned yellow after washing and tried the paper towel trick, still were yellow. I saw this video and said what the heck, right? I used the equate Vaseline (probably should have used the original) and the soles got dyed. I used black rit dye btw.... since the, they have dried and the soles are an ugly purple-ish color and the black canvas just looks faded and ugly and honestly they just look old asf! I honestly don't know what I did wrong. But I bought some leather shoe paint (black). Gonna try and fix the soles with that. Hopefully, they'll look somewhat decent, and I guess I'll just wear them to work 🤷♀️ (my shoes get ruined there, so wth 🙃).

They must be synthetic fibers so it works out really well. RIT does make dye for that but it's great that the normal stuff doesn't affect it.

i'm extremely new to CSS (this is literally the first time i've ever tried to play with it) and I'm a bit confused! much like in your video, i have sections of the code that's highlighted red, which to me insinuates that there's something i need to customize or tweak, but you don't really mention anything about that. I tried putting in the Windows code as is and it said there was an error, i tried changing the "background_color" and "text_color" to the colors i want them to be (clear and #000000 [ie black], respectively) then I also want to have a 200s message hide delay, for which i replaced "message_hide_delay" with "200s", but then "forwards" is still highlighted red. error message for all. I have tried changing all of the mentioned edits, i have tried one at a time to see if that was the issue, i've tried everything changed and "forwards" being deleted, i have tried everything I can think of and I'm still at an impasse I have no doubt this is my own error, but if you or someone reading this could help me figure out what i'm doing wrong, i'd be really grateful!

The Z-Film was altered on Sunday evening of the 24th. The "real film" head shot was much more dramatic and had more than one frame (313 only now) showing the head shot. Frames were removed and back of head was blacked out.
