any time i copy the string into CSS i get an error saying "Something went wrong while applying the settings" then reloads. Nothing changes.

i'm extremely new to CSS (this is literally the first time i've ever tried to play with it) and I'm a bit confused! much like in your video, i have sections of the code that's highlighted red, which to me insinuates that there's something i need to customize or tweak, but you don't really mention anything about that. I tried putting in the Windows code as is and it said there was an error, i tried changing the "background_color" and "text_color" to the colors i want them to be (clear and #000000 [ie black], respectively) then I also want to have a 200s message hide delay, for which i replaced "message_hide_delay" with "200s", but then "forwards" is still highlighted red. error message for all. I have tried changing all of the mentioned edits, i have tried one at a time to see if that was the issue, i've tried everything changed and "forwards" being deleted, i have tried everything I can think of and I'm still at an impasse I have no doubt this is my own error, but if you or someone reading this could help me figure out what i'm doing wrong, i'd be really grateful!

I can't get this to work at all...I've spent nearly an hour going back and fourth between my Streamlabs OBS application and the website copy and pasting code in whilst testing it through an unlisted test livestream and no messages from me or other appear anymore, let alone come down from the top. "Copy and paste and your done" my ass

Don’t use Streamlabs OBS, it’s garbage. Other than that I don’t know what the problem could be. Try the Windows code I recently added to the Reddit post.

im not sure how everyone in this comment section is satisfied and got this to work, but from your custom CSS Code on reddit. after copying and pasting the code on to streamlabs Custom HTML/CSS. Ours #22 is not the same as your #22 as seen on your video. and even as i tried to fix it to look similar like your, i still dont seem to get the chat to function correctly. i just find it odd that im the only one speaking on this problem

If it’s the same browser source, editing it will change all of them. If you add a new unique source you should be able to have multiple chat options.
