Thanks for the video. How far do you travel to provide for your services? I am in Thomson GA.

We primarily serve West Georgia and East Alabama. Thomson would be too far for us to travel, but thank you for the inquiry!

Agree with first comment about frame level with the ground, your parallel arms should be parallel to the ground when planting. Lengthen that top link between the tractor and planter and everything will work better.

Save your money and buy a fecon bull head, Gyrotrac has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever seen; me and the dealer I bought it from have made numerous calls to the company and left voicemails with no one calling back. So far I’ve lost 23,000 dollars because of the business that I have lost being down. The pulleys for the belt were misaligned and have eaten 2 belts worth 600 dollars. It can be a great machine when I works but the customer service is piss poor.

Just commenting for the algorithms. This information is vital to climbing , whether a tree or rock face. I'm glad to see guys taking the time to try and let folks know. Redundancy in our systems is extremely important and should be practiced just like everything else.

The first thing they teach us farmers is that the top of your main tube should be level with the ground. Then the seed box runs level and all of the discs and wheels contact the ground correctly.

The whole quick connect nonsense is so annoying. I recently bought a few of these (sprinklers, hoses etc) and they given you part of it for free but not the main one which force you to go buy the other...

Can you share with me how you set up your air compressor down-pressure unit on the planter? Thank you, Patrick Wolf
@buckhavenlandsolutions5392 жыл бұрын
Fortunately for it came on the planter, and it was already set up. I wouldn’t know how to add the airbag system to it from scratch. If you get one with it attached it’s really a trial and error process to figure out what setting works best. The setting will also vary based on soil conditions and planting depth

I bought 60 acres grownup, cutover hunting land in Ga. a little over 2 years ago for $1,650 per acre. Less than a year after buying it, same cutover land across the road from me sold for $2,500 per acre. It’s excellent hunting land. I applied with state to replant with long leaf pines. State will pay for most of cost to replant.

How much did that planter cost and what model
@buckhavenlandsolutions5392 жыл бұрын
I bought it off a local guy who bought it new from up north and used it for one season. It’s a handmade planter using John Deere 7000 parts. Same adjustment principles will apply to a JD 7000.

Cultipackers are only to ferm seeds in soil,not till or smooth !
Good tip Bradley! I'm curious . . . do you clean out and lubricate the pump after every use or only at the end of the season? I use my sprayer as a remote watering source (with hand wand) and 95% of the time there is no chemical at all in the tank - just water. This my first year using the Ag Spray 55 gallon boomless pump / spray rig and I plan to detach the HYPRO pump at the end of the season, lubricate it well, then bring it indoors to prevent freezing. Your thoughts?
@buckhavenlandsolutions5393 жыл бұрын
I clean mine after each use and then fill it up with antifreeze and store it in the barn. It’s a pain in the butt if your using it multiple days in a row, but glyphosate is really rough on those iron pumps. I lubricate it after removing the antifreeze prior to use. I think as long as you are not running a lot of Glyphosate through it you will be fine to only remove it at the end of the season as long as you keep it lubricated.

I tried seeding on my lawn and with a heavy rain all the seeds washed away! How did your seeds not wash away? I'm in Dallas Texas
@buckhavenlandsolutions5393 жыл бұрын
Luckily that rain wasn’t hard enough to wash down any seed, and the soil was still soft enough to allow the seeds to go down into the soil.
@samuraioodon3 жыл бұрын
@@buckhavenlandsolutions539 I started using straw but it's so much work doing my hand. The success is much higher but I'm still dealing with poor soil and squirrels digging up the seeds. I'm using blood meal to keep them away. Thank you for your video!
