Proud owner of a Stelvio here. I bought it new in 2017, first Ti sold in the town that time. No major problem so far, just superb driving. Early recalls were silly minor issues, easily fixed by the dealer under warranty. Driving is so much fun, I keep taking my Stelvio to twisty roads frequently.

I own a 2019 Stelvio. Aside from a recent problem with the fuel pump, the car has been very reliable. It’s so much more fun to drive than anything else. I thought about trading it in for a new BMW X3 but they seem so boring to me now.

A very obvious Promo production with a lot of half-truth's and plain lies. In the beginning Ducati's just weren't very reliable. Ducati made some very bad lemons in the days. They just hung in there. Remarkable and thumbs up! They didn't have very high and even absent production and quality standards. Probably due to lack of funds. They broke down more than you and certainly they would like. Fixing them was another challenge because not every bike from same type and year was built the same way. If the red wire was out they used blue 🤨Poor documentation. They just couldn't keep up with the Big Four. Not on the track and not on the road. It's a miracle they survived. There were times that Ducati escaped bankruptcy. The British Industry didn't.( BSA, Triumph, Matchless, Vincent, Ariel) Their strength was and still is being different in sound, looks and experience . They never were gamechangers like the Big Four did several times starting in the 60's with the Cub, 750 Four, Z1 , Goldwing, Pan European, Honda Helix and so on. The Big Four totally wiped out the pre- existing dominating British, German, American and Italian competition. With reason.. Simply by making affordable reliable motorcycles. It took decades to partially recover from that blow. David versus Goliath. At a certain point they could only keep track and even win Superbike by allowing Ducati to race against 750cc Big Four competition with their 1000cc and later even bigger engines. Along with increased prosperity among mainly First World customers who wanted to fill in their needs ( induced by successful marketing) to own a more expensive, exclusive upmarket bike same as HD, BMW, Triumph, KTM are doing . Just as Apple, Tesla, Gucci and the likes are accommodating those wannabe needs. Nowadays Ducati is owned by VAG and they have enough financial support to enable them to fill in that role. Even lead MotoGP!. You might want to watch this also. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHivnJWvdqqHic0si=c38HomVnqFPAmkCu Don't get me wrong. I love Ducati .I'm glad they are still there. I own an MTS 1200S. Before that a, by the masses , very underappreciated ST3. Very fine ride. ( But that one has some very Ducati-like issues. Battery placement was an afterthought. The faring has to come off replacing it😝 Fairing ? getting off is easy, the struggle begins when trying to get it back on 😝 ) I'm not fine when needing a computer and special software to service my bike. Which is mandatory both with the ST3 and the MTS. Same thing with the R 1200GS I still own, but it's for sale now. Very nice ride and looks also .But has it's own quality issues. ( ABS pump, drive shaft, going bad way too soon. Very, very expensive) But my advice still is as it was back then in the sixties. Go to the Big Four if you want performance, looks reliability and affordability. If you can afford to pay much more to set yourself apart and think it's worth it? Follow your heart and not your brain.

Imagine if/when all Gelandewagen models going EV🙉. Cheers from me with my ultra low mileage G55 AMG. In my country 99% buys the G63 model, to get the V8 sound. Without the V8/V12 engines, the Gelandewagen looses most of its soul

Got a bright red Panigale with bits of carbon. Makes my heart flutter every time I take the cover off. Every time. My Hondas never did that. Just one example the stand is a shapely machined bit of aluminium. My last Honda was steel pipe with a spring and a plate welded on.

Japanese engines are light years ahead of Europeans. No one buys sentimentality anymore. You have raised the price to the sky and you think people are crazy. For the money you are asking for your crap, you can buy an H2, which is ahead of the Ducati in every category. Just say Hayabusa and everyone knows what it means. When you say Ducati, the next question is which model, how often do you have it serviced? When are the valves adjusted and how much does it cost, because the service costs you an arm and a leg!

The bad stuff from even nasik with material needed and with profit will cost 360 rs , 90 stuff is not branding , and like race championship models, cant be provided , solely cause price of some else thing needs be increased and quantity and variety in catelog to wrest the loss from selling that for 90 , scrambler seems catelog, for compensating 360- 90 = 270 rs loss for peoples ability to generally buy, interns of model appearances deterioration latestly , ducti not happy for monster 😂
@dwaipayandattaroy98014 ай бұрын
And that monster and scrambler kind or better models available locally, why people will take ducati if its not beauty to look at, for the name factor ie ducati, people will take monster, suppose first android model and owner, and that functioning android now to a jobless is same product, where first owner of android perhaps now titanium diamond android and updated functionality , but the same thing contemporarily is not possible for the rickshapuller , but both has android touch screen , common to brand name ducati , even if monster 😮

Switched to duc 15yrs ago after some japanese bikes. The first was the rd350 which was great bike, owned for 10+ years. Later switched to a 2005 r1. It was a bad idea, in long term use it was unreliable for me and cornering/braking was mediocore at best.. so switched to a v2, the sv650 curvy. It was finally a fun to ride again, its suspension and brakes was much more acceptable to its power than the r1’s was. But it was again a money pit. Small but pricey issues here and there. Owned 5 years long to see if I prefer the v2 over a inline4 screamer and I decided to switch to ducati. I bougt a 999s with full termignoni, ohlins forks, rear susp.ension and steering dampener and performance kit camshafts. Oh boy what a difference. The jap inline4 bikes was for me like there was only a front wheel/section. Any one I owned or tested was nose heavy except the rd350lc which was really a decent bike). The triple nine was a beast. Its torque was plenty for any situation, it was pretty comfortable, in corners nothing beats it. Owned for 5years completely problem free (it had far the most kms in its odo from my bikes) but due my age (close to 50) switched to a monster s2r 800. It is a different bike, the wide straight steering bars are very good for urban use and its seat position feels very good for me. After 5 problem free years I still ride her happily and will keep it for good. But I will never forget my 999s, in my opinion that was the peak era of ducati. Modern audi owned era ducati makes terrible bikes. Same bike with different engines.. just like audi vw seat skoda crap. Panigale this and panigale that and the 4 cylinder… wtf?! Real shame.. long live the pre 2010 ducatis!

Nothing beats the sound of a Ducati, few beats the looks of an Aprilia, but at the end of the day, my hard earned money goes towards reliability and price. Value for my money. My very 1st Ducati I took out on a test ride, stalled because of a switch problem, my second one had starting problems. That's when I said: farewell Ducati. I now wait for the 2024 Kawasaki's to arrive in NZ. You want reliability, buy Japanese. Period. I was a Yamaha fan all my live but they have fallen behind currently for what I want. FYI. Yamaha=11% failure, Honda & Suzuki=12%, Kawasaki=15%, Ducati=33% failure. Also Harley Davidson and Triumph has better reliability than Ducati. Buying a Ducati is in the same class of the McLaren. Sounds and look gr8 but not reliable at all. I am going on a coastal tour in March in NZ, =2800km app . can you trust a Ducati, I certainly cannot.

Loved this documentary of ducati! I've been a Japanese Sport Bike rider/owner since my first days of riding a honda 50cc. Years later graduating to the 954RR and Yamahas R1's. Of most recent times I had a 22 BMW S1000RR M SPORT which is an amazing bike . Unfortunately I had to get rid of it but having done that it opened the door to me getting a Ducati 1199. I'm still ironing out the details of the financial aspects but I am eager and excited about my new Ducati and becoming part of the Ducati family.

Bought brand new V2 and in 4k miles spent 4 months in shop dumped due to the undependable frail engine. Loved the bike till it quit. Every oil change was full of metal aluminum and steel. Every 750 miles the quick shifter would get clunky forcing oil change $250 doing myself. Once oil change done would shift good again. The final straw they charged me $500 to do a software update to fix an electronic shift issue. Its a white elephant bike.
