Some advanced technologies are also limited to Attesa line such as this Lura Program or Satellite Wave GPS. Unfortunately Citizen limits Attesa line exclusively in Japan, then they put these advanced technologies and Attesa design in basic lines when selling oversees. These oversee models don’t carry “Attesa” name on them and have lower qualities and less refined designs but cheaper. This is a confusing approach, also hurts Attesa and Citizen’s branding power in my opinion. So when people see JDM Attesa watch reviews, many often say how these watches are overpriced bc the basic lines imitating Attesa designs have made people can’t tell the differences.

There are some really great choices on Temu, fully treated wood and soft plush interior. Several months now, no problem. Inexpensive and functional. Things like pleather is a no no, it will just look like crap after a while, simple is best.

I bought this as some cheap fun to chop and change my box of straps. Like a lot of people I have an abundance of 20mm straps (mostly unworn) that I've bought for a specific watch then never used, or used for a bit then went back to the OEM strap or bracelet. I wanted to give that box of straps a purpose. This thing is a strap monster. The orange rubber strap I can confirm is outstanding, so comfortable and flexible. I've had this on various rubber straps, black, grey, yellow. Also had it on green suede, black leather, various blue straps from light blue right through to navy, different variations of brown - it works with everything. Even stuck it on a burgundy Erika's original and thought this would never work and it does. Somehow that mix of yellow/cream dial, the orange and yellow hands plus the black ties it in with absolutely anything. There's always some detail or colour on the dial to make any strap look like it is meant for it.

Citizen is my only watch brand, they are the best. My favorite is the satellite gps watch with 3 seconds gps update, its magic!

I bought one and the 30 min hand fell off… BUT I took it apart and fixed it. To be honest I still love it and wear it regularly 😂

I bought mine directly off the Sugess site for around $200. Came on a leather strap. Solid little watch and the Seagull movement from what I know about it is a good movement. It reminded me of the top time deuce from Breitling. A watch I definitely can't afford yet, but love. Ended up putting a Khaki strap that I got from Vaer on it. Another watch company I highly recommend by the way. Love this watch

I have a Gbd-200 and a Gbx-100. Both great watches and the display is absolutely amazing. Basic interface for any user, the only thing missing is an audible alarm at all hours. 😊

I refuse to pay more than a thousand for a watch. Technology regarding not just power source and movement but also materials has caught up to and surpassed the old elite expensive luxurious watches. A Rolex or insert whatever expensive watch is easily beat out but numerous sub $1,000 watches in today’s market. Now if you’re buying the more so expensive high end watches for namesake, artistry, or something just admit that and I’m fine with.

A Rolex or insert whatever expensive watch is easily beat out but numerous sub $1,000 watches in today’s market. For those of us who like titanium and quartz and perhaps atomic and other stuff - Citizen are the best.

The Casio AE1200WH, also widely known as the Casio Royale, has a modding community that has embraced this inexpensive copy of a Seiko G757, which was worn by Roger Moore in the 1983 James Bond movie Octopussy and turned it into a bit of a subculture of it's own. I have a AE1200WH-1A that I've easily taken apart, scrubbed almost ALL that janky-looking lettering off except for the Casio name with 91% Isopropyl alcohol and a Q-Tip, then filled the case with silicone oil before reassembly and I replaced the band with a really nice blue leather with tan twine stitching, Ritche watchband I paid $20 for on Amazon. It's so cool! I get a LOT of compliments on it and it's actually a much more interesting conversation piece because of what it is, than the same common Rolex you see all the time that needs no introduction.

Yeah! The Casio Royale is a smart piece of time keeping. In all its standard Casio variants its great. But when its modded it becomes a next level watch. Watch snobs probably don't like it simply because it ain't valued at thousands of $/£/€ etc. I personally perfer the AE1300 which is virtually identical. My only criticism is that the lung width is 18mm. 20 mm would be better & I'm surprised SKX mods hasn't addressed that with Their metal cases , meaning an adapter is still required for a wider strap. 🍸 Cheers

Can anyone explain this: The Precisionist movement seems to be unique to Bulova. Grand Seiko is the only other watchmaker to produce a sweeping second hand with its even more precise Spring Drive. But, and here's my question, when it comes to AA battery powered wall clocks, sweeping second hands are ten-a-penny. I have several of them, most of them very cheap, all with that buttery smooth second hand. I *assume* Bulova has a patent on the tech for wristwatches, but it doesn't cover wall clocks? Any other explanation? It surely *can't* be that other watchmakers just can't be bothered to use this tech?! But every clock maker does (and brags about it in their listings). Or, is the wall clock sweeping second hand tech different to Bulova's? Any thoughts?
