I own two of these. After a few months of use, the top layer of one of the dividers has come loose, so when I pull out a watch, the cushion catches on the pleather fabric and pulls it up. So be careful when placing the cushion back in the slot so it doesn't go too deep in the slot.

What's the case size of the chunky Gshock on the top left? Im looking at getting this case, and my collection is basically all chunky gshocks 😂 I'm curious if they'll all fit in here or be bumping into one another. There are some really great choices on Temu, fully treated wood and soft plush interior. Several months now, no problem. Inexpensive and functional. Things like pleather is a no no, it will just look like crap after a while, simple is best.

What’s the circumference of the cushions? Do they compress a bit for closing a clasp easily?

They’re padded and they compress, but I don’t have a circumference measurement.

I have the same wrist size as you, are your watches loose around the pillows?

Yes, the ones on bracelets and deployant clasps are loose. The ones on straps get tightened up around the pillows. That said, the pillows aren’t floating, and the bottom of the strap/bracelet gets sandwiched between the pillow and the bottom of the box. Everything is secure and they don’t move around in the box.

I don’t lock it often, but no… I’ve never had an issue.

@@MikeyTown13 Appreciate the response. If you don’t mind, how do you actually lock it? I find that I can’t take the key out after I’ve locked it, so I have to leave it unlocked. It’s crazy. I’ll put the key in, turn it to lock it, and then it just doesn’t come out unless I turn it again to unlock it.

For me it’s a full turn counterclockwise to lock and the key comes right out. Same thing counterclockwise to unlock. You can see me do it at 8:30 in the video.

I am a big guy as well and was thinking of getting a wolf box now I will reconsider but let me ask you I have an 8inch wrist size as well and what I find the hardest is fitting a watch on a bracelet without the head sitting off of the pillow. I currently use a songmicks 10 slot box and the only box with deep enough slots to hold all ranges for me seems to be an invicta box and I really don't want that. Do you have any suggestions on what box can hold 8 inch wrist size watches that sit tall?

I don’t have experience with many boxes, but can speak to this one. Watches with metal bracelets are fine in here. There’s enough room for the bracelet to flex a the watch head doesn’t float. Watches on straps with deployment clasps are a different story. Those don’t have links that flex like a bracelet and the watch head can float a bit. It’s not much, and it’s not an issue for me. They don’t look awkward, but YMMV. In this video, the all black G-Shock has a deployment buckle on it, and that one floats a little bit, so that should give you a good look.

I guess the good thing about this one is that if you want to try it out, you can just order it on Amazon and it’s a quick and easy return if you don’t like it. 🤷‍♂️ Would love to know which one you end up going with either way.

I’ve got a box from Rothwell, unfortunately lost the key and can’t find a way to unlock it otherwise anywhere. Has anyone else had the same problem?

I don’t lock it, so never had that problem. Have you tried to pick the lock? Or maybe order another one from Amazon, use that key to open it, then return it. I’d be very surprised if the keys are any different.

@@MikeyTown13 I normally don’t but I had guests stay round so I wasn’t sure 😭 It’s such a difficult lock to even look at, might try finding a piece of wire that’s lying about somewhere. Could try ordering a new box, might buy an AirTag with it aswell 😂

Looks cheaply made. At 3:08 you can see bubble/wrinkles where the fabric was not rolled well after being glued down. I’d expect this to not age well.

I noticed that a couple days after making this video and exchanged it for another one. The next one that came didn’t have that issue… the hinge is also a much better install. Seems like there could be some QC issues to look out for. Easy exchange through Amazon, though.
