I have been selected for Erasmus in the following spring semester at TU Dortmund, but I am really really really worried that my German level is not enough. I am currently A2. I am a CS student. Is there anything anyone would like to suggest? Should I withdraw or would I be fine in the German-taught courses? Are there any English-taught courses I can take (If yes, I'd appreciate a link)? I have several elective courses in my curriculum, so I am not limited to CS courses only. But there aren't enough of them, so I will have to choose some CS courses as well. I am currently continuing to study and improve my German, but I'm still worried and would feel better if I could take the minimum amount of German-taught courses. Thanks :)

A2 is not even close, Its miles behind. If you are looking to study in a GERMAN taught course then at least proper C1 level German knowledge is required. I said at least because proper C1 level means having an extremely strong grasp with the vocab and fluency. Just passing the exam cannot mean it would be really easy.

Vielen Dank für das Video, das hat mir sehr geholfen bei meiner Entscheidung. Ich werde zum Wintersemester Informatik an der TU Dortmund studieren, kannst du mir sagen, ob man in den Lesesäälen Strom zur Verfügung hat? Sonst muss ich mir einen neuen Laptop zulegen, länger als 3-4 Stunden macht der leider nicht mit. Schöne Grüße

Fast alle Räume, Hörsäle usw. haben Steckdosen an praktisch allen Plätzen. Für außerhalb der Vorlesungen und Veranstaltungen wäre es aber bestimmt sowieso praktisch, einen Laptop mit gutem Akku zu haben

I'd strongly recommend against TU Dortmund. At least for (bio)chemical engineering. The faculty of BCI includes several different chairs. Some of the professors are biologists or pharmacists. I only know two who are chemical engineers by there own. Therefore, most of them have no understanding every single discipline in chemical engineering and no practical experiences. Furthermore, the exams have high failing rates because the quality of teaching is insufficient. TU Dortmund wants to get on the same level as the famous technical universitys as RWTH and KIT but hasn't understand yet that they can only achieve that with improving their own quality of teaching. If you want to focus on scientific fields I'd go for KIT/RWTH. If you're interested to get a practical oriented education, I'd recommend one of the Fachhochschulen.

It's so sad that they couldn't accept me bcz of the marks of math By the way in the website they didn't require higher marks Bcz my general note in bachelor degree is 10.26 and in master degree i got 15.5 in my thesis and general marks of master are 11.96 ~ 12 My question could i be accepted in this master programm Also for ielts if i get 6.0 it will be enough?
