My friends and I have met Art and Freddy several times and they're awesome. So friendly and patient, even for selfies, every single time. 💜

Art still got it. The band rocks. He's been a hero of mine since I was a kid. He simply cannot write a bad song.

The story behind this song is absolutely heartbreaking...art was interviewed by people magazine and one of the questions was...what inspired you to write this song? His words were "a 10 year old who had a colonastamy bag..he was bullied in school to the point where when he got home one day he took his own life" This is also the 2nd release of this song..first was art by himself on his solo album and then he decided to re-release and re-record it with everclear! I love this song! It hits hard, it hits home, it hits ya right in the feelings!

Damn that hits hard. To my two friends that I was never able to find the combinations of words and actions to save, sorry I wasn't good enough to make the case, but I forgive you for doing it.. Hopefully the lessons from the pain of those days will give me the strength and ability to save the third. I'll never stop trying.

I work at a hospital, and Art and Everclear has always been one of my deepest interests in life. I work in the second largest city in my state, and the kids that come in... Shot from gang violence, OD'ing. Everyone always hears about it happening. We have the state forensic center here, I have to carry those kids in in bodybags and it makes me want to scream. How fucking dare you, how fucking dare any of you.

I like the version on his solo album way better! That was pretty much the only song on the solo album that I really loved. This version ain't too far off though. The acoustic version though just has more of a vulnerability to it. When I first heard this song on the solo album the first thing I thought of was 13 Reasons Why. The more I listen to this version the more I like it. But that original version is still my go-to between the two of them.

I've seen Everclear a few times and loved them each time. Here's a story. The first CD my brother bought with his own money was Now 1 with "I Will Buy You a New Life" on it. He wore the CD out because he played it so much. I found the CD jacket at my house. When I went to a show, I met Art afterwards and had him sign it for my brother. I gave him the jacket for Christmas! Everclear is fantastic!

This is a great song it touches on how people on the political right and left both feel about our current world. I think art's critical mistake was attaching it to one particular party all Americans ard being lied to left and right alike
