I imagine the types would still have to counter one another, but you could play around with what counters what. Maybe instead of the classic pokemon trio you could do Fire/Ice/Lightning the three base elements of offensive magic, or I figure the match ups would need to be more complex if you used the classic 4 elements...but there is the chinese 5 element system that already has a whole thing about how they interact with one another: Fire/Earth/Metal/Water/and Wood. Sorry, I don't want to put more work on you than you already got, I am sure you already got plans. I got new Kaida stuff! We went on a new adventure sponsored by an NPC friend of the party, The museum owner. He had a location for a lost civilization and needed our help excavating with the promise that we could keep some of the treasure we find so long as he can at least see all the treasure and document it. So far we have found a royal tomb, a Library, a Warrior's tomb, and a forge. There was a really cute moment where Kaida asked the Mercenary Fighter of the party about the Forge; Her father who she recently started connecting with used to be a Blacksmith Apprentice to Heatran after his parents traded him for a Sword, he didn't like being a blacksmith very much since it reminded him of abandonment, but he did get good at it. Kaida wanted to understand more about his experience, and seeing how the Fighter was clearly interested in the forge she decided to ask him about it. Usually the two of them butt-heads a little bit, in that moment Kaida activated the magic words to get him to share his special interests with her and it was a great little bonding moment between them. Also a previous player who had not been around for a while rejoined the group with a new character but he made a bad first impression cause he didn't really think what he was doing over...He wanted some street-cred for stealing from Kaida, except he didn't grab one of Kaida's treasures, he grabbed a Bronze Sword and Shield which the fighter had discovered. Then when he got found out he tried to cast "Command: Sleep" on the Fighter, which failed and only pissed him off more than trying to steal from him! Kaida managed to tie him up and bonk him on the head while we decided what to do with him. Out of character we didn't want to kill him cause he's a player and just rejoined the party, though we all agreed this was a bad introduction, but our characters didn't have much of an incentive to want to keep him around. Turns out he is a Twilight Cleric of Lunala so we let his Goddess decide his punishment. She cursed him with Insomnia and had to serve his punishment helping our team. Out of session this had me thinking with my devious Kaida mind: A Strategically placed curse could be made useful...One curse can't overlap with another so having a mild curse could be beneficial in case somebody tried to give you something worse, and sometimes a curse could become useful under the right circumstance. Besides what's more fitting for a Pirate legend than a Pirate Curse? I think Kaida is going to try to negotiate with a Legendary she is on friendly terms with to give her a Curse she could turn to her advantage, and I am currently discussing with my DM what the curse could be.

I love Pineapples! Once when I was a little kid I ate a bunch of pineapple at a party and couldn't stop but I must've ate way too many Pineapples cause I ended up chucking them up, and then in my little kid brain I figured my stomach was empty now so I went back to eating pineapple again right after XD We had some downtime in our D&D game. Kaida joined our Monk player to her music lesson, she had started learning to play guitar just cause she wanted to learn an instrument and Kaida thought it would be a good idea to get some more musical experience as well since she spends long periods of time out at sea and crews need some entertainment, plus she has also gotten favorable winds and currents by playing music to appease Kyogre. While they were on a break from the Music Lesson Kaida went to check in on the Dance studio cause as a kid she used to do Ballet and was reunited with her old Ballet instructor. Kaida stopped coming to classes around when she was 13 since that was around the time her adoptive mother Marie LaCroix got sick and died when Kaida was 14, but she still payed for the full lessons so the teacher said if Kaida wants she can pick up where she left off and Kaida is considering, partially as a way to connect back to her chosen mother and Ballet is very athletic so she could probably translate dance moves into combat.

Love your Edgy Dark Elf David Bowie Gem boy with white hair and fierce eyes! The Crack Scar is so cool and makes sense with Obsidian since it is literally Glass. He just looks like a badass. I really like the jagged look of the sword, but consider a moment if you would...what if the sword had elements of an Aztec Macuahuitl? The Macuahuitl is technically considered a Wood Club rather than a traditional sword but they are so beautiful looking, they typically have intricate designs and are lined all along the side with fine Obsidian Razors! According to one Conquistador, they claimed to have seen an Aztec Warrior with a Macuahuitl decapitate a Horse with one clean strike! (Poor horse but I personally side with the Aztecs) Not much new to report with Kaida. Project: "Consequences of my Actions" went off perfectly. I got to intimidate the fake wizard before he died having Kaida casting a big dramatic shadow over him from the rooftops while watching my Merc buddy complete the job and get a HUGE payday out of this. Kaida did some downtime shopping afterwards. She had a water armor that was a work in progress for some time now and just got completed, so now she has a Mask that lets her breath underwater and a suit that lets her tread and swim underwater so she can do some deep-sea treasure hunting. I also set up a Shine to Lugia at my hotel as per our deal and am going to try to work with Lugia more to get more of the Ocean Gods to support the Pirate Empress.

Idk if this is possible but you should do fools gold, I feel like it would be cool and could make allusions 😅

You know when I created my gemsona I just use my birthstone blue Zircon as inspiration and I know that there’s already blue Zircon in the show, but I wanted to create my own design of my own birthstone

So sorry I am late to this video I have been so busy lately. There is a lot of potential with some of these scraped beta designs. Some of them I wish we had gotten, some of them I would like to see be redesigned, and others I think are fine being scrapped beta art. Lot's and lots of very CUTE designs. I think the trumpet looking thing looked like it could be a Pokemon version of the Fluud from Mario Sunshine. Maybe they considered a sort of cross nintendo reference but scrapped the idea cause...copyright or something? I have some fun news from my D&D game! Before heading home from he surfing Contest which was in celebration to Lugia near their temple, Kaida decided to stop by the Temple and visit Lugia themselves. Manaphy has some distrust in regards to Pirates, so they are still apprehensive about Kaida's plan being the Pirate Empress Queen of the sea. She asked Lugia being another Sea God how she could prove her worth... Lugia told Kaida "Maybe if Manaphy doesn't like Pirates you should go after some of the worse ones, In fact there was this one guy who made a deal with Lugia recently and then skipped on fulfilling his end of the bargain!" When Kaida heard the name she had to pause for a moment cause she knows this crook very well... An Oranguru Charlatan posing as a Wizard named Osgarius Zoroaster! Back when Kaida was a little kid and trying to win her Tyrannical Biological Mother's approval, she heard that a Wizard who could grant wishes and work miracles had come to town! Kaida asked Osgarius to grant her wish: Making her biologically female (even if it did work her biological mother still wouldn't have loved her). Osgarius offered a deal: Steal something for me. So Kaida did, but instead of holding up his end of the deal he betrayed Kaida to get in the good graces of her mother, claiming that he had caught Kaida trying to undermine her authority and usurp her younger sister! This motivated Kaida's mother to decide to try to kill Kaida, causing Kaida flee for her life and eventually end up where she is now! On one hand, if it wasn't for him then Kaida never would have met her adoptive mother, her girlfriend, or be the amazing Pirate she is now. On the other hand, He still betrayed her and tried to have her killed, has continued going around conning people, and if she gets back at him she gets into good favor with Lugia, so Kaida is all in and then who should she find out showed up in her hometown when she gets back but MR. OSGARIUS ZOROASTER! I have a Plan! "Project Consequences of my Actions" Kaida goes to the Merc on the team Bishardramon and explains her history with Osgarius. She wants to pay him for a job...but not just any job...the Biggest Payday of his Life! Being a Pirate Kaida has made many powerful enemies here in Treasure Town and abroad. We have made an agreement that he will not take contracts with Kaida as a target cause we are allies, BUT Kaida points out that technically it's Osgarius's fault that Kaida is their problem in the first place...so Every Powerful Figure Kaida has ever messed with going to want to contract Bishardramon's service to get back at him >:D Mwuhahaha Bishardramon is working on collecting contracts and Kaida is finding recent victims of Osgarius's scams to help track him down.

I do understand that this is a fan made concept and thus may use a fan made lore for gem kind but just incase I wanted to mention that in Steven universe all gems are assigned female at.... construction and so a gem coming out with a male structure isn't really something that would happen however again I know this is purely fan made I just enjoy Talking about this show It is a wonderful concept though :3 And I do like the idea of exploring Trans gem characters

My sapphire character is kinda similar in that they popped out appearing like the average female sapphire, but after being poofed they reformed to appear more like a male. He was lucky enough to still be useful to the diamonds which saved him from instantly being shattered for being "defective"

If you look at the anime 'Land of the lustrous'thats basically the same concept. Their bodys are made of gems. And sometimes when they break they can replace parts with carved peices of other gems. The main character loses her arms and legs and her legs get replaced with, i think zebra jasper ,and she can run super fast. And her amrs with liquid gold. But when they lose parts of their bodys and cant reattach them or find them, they lose memories. When she loses her arms and legs she doesnt act like herself because she doesnt remember her old self. Could be a cool concept. Like if a gem is shattered or something and they cant find all the peices, they could replace with the nonsentiant earth verson of gems. And when they reform they take on parts of the replacement parts colors
