I think that it is allegedly supposed to have a 25.5” scale length is much bigger talking point than how boring the black finish is. If it does have a 25.5” scale I think a lot of guitarist won’t care about it being black at all. That in itself is a big selling point for a lot of people.

most painted guitars, to me, are just not worth buying. If a guitar doesn't excite me to look at, I will choose another to play. a 24 Fret bengal burst with black hardware would have been MUCH better. but the fact it is a Gibson USA will help it.

Anyone who knows me understands my love of Black guitars and as far as your comments of it being a boring guitar it pains me to say I agree this is a boring guitar and it is not appealing to me at all. When I think of Dave Mustaine guitars I think of nice graphics beautiful finishes nice colors and this is none of those. Black with those Mustaine inlays does nothing but scream we are out of ideas and we know people will buy these no matter what we do. Geek lord probably has 5 already on reverb yes boring looking 👀

The great thing about the guitar market is the fact that buying a model is optional. Will there be people who buy this model? Of course. Does it matter? Not that much. Is that a reason to get upset? No, I don't think so. Are we guitar players an odd species? For sure.

Looks.good to me. All my guitars are black or blue so I can't complain. My one question is the scale length. I. An old school Carvin fan so I love 25 inches for 24 frets.

In the entire video, you get nothing on the guitar you can't pick up from the thumbnail. 24 frets, high output pickups, already a standout in the current lineup, guess we'll have to see about other build details.

I’ve never seen Mustaine play a Les Paul live. Having said that, considering how awesome my Dean VMNT plays, it will probably play ten times better than the usual crap Gibson makes.

The only two Dave sigs that didn't look like dog poo were the Jackson Y2K V and the ESP Axxion. The DV8 was horrid, the Deans were ugly AF and his Gibsons look like they are designed by a blind drummer. The only actual Dave sig that would make sense is a Jackson King V with a Kahler but that's never going to happen.

I’m a huge Mustaine fan but I’ve never seen him play a Les Paul. Then again it’s Gibson. They made Firebird signatures to Slash etc 🤦‍♂️ And I’d have to agree with ya mate, it’s boring looking. Can’t see many people running out to buy these. Looks like a Schecter

yup dave this is truly boring no creativity nothing new or innovative,same thing with the mark mortan signature,how about changing it up a bit! 24 frets ok cool you don’t see that everyday on a les paul but how about only one volume knob and put the selector switch on the bottom instead of the top and maybe a different shaped headstock and locking tuners and a different color other than black,i’ve never liked les paul’s or Gibson guitars in general the Kramer lineup is more my style,just got a lefty red pace classic love it also Kramer guitars are far from boring in my opinion 🤘🏼🎸🎶🎼

Wow this guy just crammed about 40 seconds of interesting material in an over 5 minute video. Pointless rambling. Okay, now about the guitar. First, I like black. Secondly it looks like it has white binding and silver on the knobs plus Dave's fret markers, so it's not really just black. I don't get the witch hat knobs though. Look stupid on Pauls. Is this odd? Yes. The value? Getting Dave's sounds and a signature axe with something you can sit down and play. V's are cool, but also a bitch. I love both LP's and V's though, so no complaints from me. Knobs can be changed.
