My problem with chimera ant arc is the huge number of poorly written characters who don't server any deep purpose let alone to this arc but the entire anime as well, for example take palm whose presence wont matter whether she's there or not,take for example ikalgo who was at first glance willing to snipe killua from a far distance with some deadly bullets without caring about a damn thing and not being able to kill an enemy after all the emotional development, take for example meleoron having the badass name for an ability "God's accomplice" that should've been a really overpowered ability considering the emphasis they put on it several times which didn't deliver enough actually, heck even knuckle after everything couldn't perform well even shoot had way better moments than knuckle who couldn't even land a puch onto youpi without someone's help, i was also expecting that dimension portal glasses dude to make a comeback somewhere in the middle but never happened, i could keep going on with kite's allies or those other ants cheetu,leol, whatever and it won't end... Only few good characters that actually made it watchable were kite,morel,the royal guards (ofc how they turned out later on was dissappointing), meruem... Also one point, for how strong the chimera ants were made to be by togashi it should've been a freaking world class catastrophe and every hunter should've showed up to clean the mess and they only brought in three people who were supposed to be really really strong but ironically one of them just dips out the fight after just touching thier aura, when they should've been the strongest persons there are... and again like there's more than 1000s of hunters in the hxh universe like just think about Gon's freaking dad, he's supposed to be one of the strongest hunters right? Why is he not fighting against the biggest threat to humanity and not just him there should be more aaaaaahhhh!!! Nvm...I think whoever says this arc is the best arc in hxh or one of the best arc in all anime needs to rewatch/re read it again or get thier eyes checked/ get lobotomised(jk) whatever watch/read some more anime to learn more about characters/plots/pacing...
