Also, you don't seem to understand that regardless of which translation you prefer, the earliest manuscripts for John 1:18 say, "Begotten God." Finally, and ironically, you ask if John 17:3 is redundant (it is not) while ignoring what the rest of Scripture says about the deity of Christ. Humble tip for you, stop trying to explain away the text and just accept it.
