Thanks Ed. I will be traveling south during burning season. I'm in Australia at the moment (heading back to Chiang Mai in a couple of days). I'll have a couple of things to do there before I head south mid Feb, to Bangkok and beyond.

Friendly suggestion (as I enjoy the style of your videos) to use basic sans serif fonts (white on dark backgrounds, etc) as the narrow, fancy fonts are hard to read easily and absorb quickly.

Thanks for the feedback Jack, I'll reconsider the font before I upload my February Chiang Mai places video. Glad you are enjoying the videos.

It seems that it is really possible to live on 1500 usd in Thailand. Enjoyed the video
@52weeks522 ай бұрын
Hi Ed. Yes I think so I did a series of costs videos in 2023 and my total came in at around $1,100 USD per month. It is possible to spend a lot of money in Thailand if you want, but as you have seen I enjoy living a pretty simple lifestyle. It all depends on what your expectations are.
@edroyster7972 ай бұрын
enjoyed again. We live in a good size home and have talked about the amount of things we own. Buying things doesn't always get the results we expect. We are older an are trying to make decisions about travel. I want to come to Cambodia for a visit . I would like to stay at least a month. From us its about 28 hours flying . I would like to do some train travel however with limited time this may not be the best use of time. I am enjoying your life. Say hello to Ray when you see him.
@52weeks522 ай бұрын
When I made the final move here it took me a long time to get rid of all the things I had accumulated, but it was worth the effort. There are not so many trains in Cambodia. I think Phnom Penh to Sianookville is a train route. But not much else. So Mainly Bus and air travel there. In Thailand overnight trains (with sleeping berths) are a possibility. Saves on accommodation cost and is a good use of sleeping time. I really like the overnight trains but some people hate them. If you don't fancy climbing in to an upper bunk, make sure to book lower berths. Better view in the morning too.

ice coconut green tea? is green tea with ice and put slices of coconut?
@52weeks522 ай бұрын
Coconut green tea is a blend that Monsoon Tea on Chiang Mai do. They do many different blends with Black, Oolong, and Green teas; as well as unblended varieties. I like the subtle flavour of their coconut green blend and drink it as an iced tea in this warmer climate. You probably could add coconut to it if you wanted to give it more of a coconut punch.
