A Very Relaxing City S5E38

I have arrived in Luang Prabang in Laos, following my lazy slow boat trip down the Mekong river. Now it's time to get out and explore the city. What are my first impressions of this bucket list city?

That’d blow me away walking out the door to that little market,,great way to start the day ,,i watch Now in Laos ,he has quite a few videos of there and other towns and remote villages in that area,,so it’s on my list of places to go to.

I occasionally watch now in Laos (@NowinLao) too. He has an extensive collection of exploring Laos. Next time I am there I plan to see a bit more of the country.

I really enjoyed this. I guess I'm so old that my thoughts of Laos and Cambodia are of them having the shit bombed out of them by the Americans. Very pleased to see all these fascinating signs of recovery. It all makes me very keen on next year's Akngor Wat trip to Cambodia.

Both countries are still suffering the legacy of unexploded ordinance. Near Siem Reap there is a place that shows how they are using rats to detect land mines, you should check that out while you are there.
