This is insane. Having to work with the absolute minimum sleep - i mean "rest"... We need to take this to Congress! So they know and and act on this.

Praise the lord. The people need to see the real lives of our surgeons and medical doctors and how they are mistreated. This is not safe. Verbiage in polices need to be clearly defined and the ones on the frontline should definitely define what adequate rest means. No one should have to give up their liberty, life no matter how skilled they are.

While filing for FMLA, one of the questions was if i wanted to use PTO. I checked, no. I didn't have any of my PTO used. However, sick time was used, and the FMLA compensation was only half of my regular income. It was rough.

You should call Apple and see if they can restore the deleted files. If you have automatic backups enabled, you can probably recover them as well.

Doctor as who took ecd classes. I rather have you spent that 30 minutes to 2 hours with your kids then doing other stuff. Plus you have helping with stuff.

It’s amazing and inspirational that you do all this in the first place but especially with a child! You’re almost there & I can’t wait to see it! ❤️

You are amazing!!! You inspire me so much, even though I am not nearly working as hard as you/fellow resident from Sweden. Ps. Come work in Sweden - we rarely work more than 40 hours a week even as interns/residents 😉😎🙏

Love your vlogs so much! I’m very removed from the medical world but what is your plan after fellowship doc? Is there more training or are you done at that point? Ty!

How did you do it financially over the past few years? really considering going the same route, curious to know what you would advise knowing what you know now. And would your opinion be different with a different time schedule?

Hii I hope you’re ok! It makes no sense why you have to do such insane hours when you’re literally doing surgeries & keeping people alive. You should have at least 12 hours of rest between shifts

In New York there a Libby Zion law named after a patient who died after a resident who was exhausted gave inadequate care. I guess other states don’t do that.

Thank you for sharing ❤! Could you also make an honest video on how to deal with stress and responsibility especially in the very beginning of residency, both general surgery (this must have been tough since it was a very big shift for one coming from school to the real world) and plastic surgery. I would appreciate it since I'm in the similar position. Kind regards and wishing you all the best and happy new year!
