I always love to watch your vlogs. It’s always so motivational to see strong, smart women in medicine. And you’re so funny and keep it real and I always appreciate that. I work as a Medical Assistant in a nephrology clinic so I get to work with lots of inspiring doctors and I love seeing what they do. It’s so interesting hearing about kidney transplants because I deal with those daily. I love seeing what you do. It’s so fascinating. Thank you Dr. Sanchez! Side question: what does the transplant slush machine do? Obviously keeps the organ on ice and fresh but why does it move like that?

Thank you!!! You're so sweet! & that's awesome that you work as a medical assistant in a nephrology clinic! I'm sure you come across many of the transplant or pre-transplant patients! So the slush machine really just makes the ice to keep the kidney cold during surgery - why it moves like that, not entirely sure but I think it has to do with how it makes the ice. Don't quote me because I'm not positive, haha.

@@thedaisysanchez aw thank you♥️ I’m trying. It’s hard, but I’m praying and positive that soon it’ll take off and the U.S will get to have a Latina face in the KZbin homestead community. Our kids get to live in a world where people like them are represented so much more than when we were kids. It was a rare miracle to see a brown face in our favorite shows (unless it was Univision or Telemundo lol) and you’re doing that for your daughter within the medical community AND on social media representing and I’m trying hard to spread the word on mine so my kids get to see more faces like theirs over time in homestead communities. Teaching others to be self sufficient and getting back to basics so many people dont know how to do (like cooking from scratch!) Even going to homestead events I’m basically the only Latina, but I’m gonna work hard to change that♥️ Keep it up woman, so so proud of you!

I’m a medical student in my third now I really want the life u have even though sometimes it feels very unlikely for me to get to be a plastic surgeon due to cultural norms and social status disadvantages but I will keep trying no matter what enjoy what u have doctor ❤❤❤
