To be honest I see L’Homme Le Parfum to be as appropriate for a hot summer day as much as Dior Sauvage is, which is not really fresh/light/airy enough if you truly live in a hot climate where temperatures during a hot summer day can reach up to 40-43C. So by that token Y EDT and EDP, Sauvage EDT and EDP, BdC EDT and EDP and so on.

I had a feeling it would come down to these two. I’ve been rooting for YSL just because it’s a more original scent DNA and better price tag. Also, the original La Nuit D’Lhomme was one of my OG signature scents. Btw, the girl who said she liked the creed with the silver bottle was probably talking about Himalaya. Which I do feel is underrated.

I usually skip to the end but know I am taking my time for an interesting (?) final... Let's get ready to rumble! EDIT: Ok, I watched it. It's interesting how the La Marina Cup winner has a mere 3.94 in fragrantica. But if one looks at the negative comments there they boil down to its weak projection and that it doesn't last. This disappoints people because it's a "Le parfum" flanker. But as a scent it's very good. So, don't judge by marks in fragrantica, test the fragrance yourself , It was a great idea and tournament, I am hoping for a fall fragrance tournament or if it's too soon a winter one.

So the (dad fragrance) won haha. It´s getting complicated. Whatever we chose they say it smells like something their dads wear. And they often say it´s average smelling or too common. So the questions are: What should a 40+ man wear to not smell like a teen or a dad. What is a 9-10 point fragrance to a girl that doesn´t smell average to them?

I own both and will say, L'Homme Le Parfum on paper is very tough to beat. However on skin for some reason doesn't smell as good (at least on me). Personally I'd reach for Percival over Le Parfum but both very nice mass appealing scents. Nice job with the tournament Hamza. This was fun! 🙂

I know they’re coming… the ridiculous comments trying to negate the fact that YSL smells incredible by saying performance is trash. Never had an issue with any YSL L’homme or La Nuit not lasting or projecting far enough where the person next to me can’t smell me. I’m 49 years old and don’t want anyone outside my personal space to smell my fragrance. You young kids will get there someday, too. For now, performance is equally or more important to you than the scent. By the way, women have waaaay better noses than men so what you think is bad performance is often strong to the female nose.
