@@R2sojr09 FYI Designer houses usually don't put the highest quality ingredients in fragrances like niche houses usually do. Designer brands usually save it for their private line like what Dior and Tom Ford does as an example because Designer brands usually focus on mass appealing scents and their average consumer would not pay niche prices for their fragrances. What is funny is Chanel does have a private line of fragrances called Les Exclusifs De Chanel, so they are using ingredients just below that level for their standard fragrances for the masses to buy.

@@R2sojr09 I am not saying Chanel doesn't use good ingredients. It is not just on the level as niche fragrances, and most Designer brands want to keep it that way for the mass audience. They don't want to make it too expensive that the average consumer cannot afford it in their standard retail store like Macys. Chanel fragrances would not sell well and their profit margins would be much lower for their most popular fragrances. Dior hit a gold mine with the original Dior Sauvage because it was not very expensive for them to make, so they were able to make huge profit margins. There are Designer brands who want to copy their formula.

Percival is more aromatic fresh, Sedley is minty fresh but can't go wrong with either one. These two will pull you lots of positive attention.

Sedley has better top notes but the drydown is better on Percival to me. Sedley smells like sprite at first, it smells like no other fragrance and is amazing but after a while the smell becomes more simple and loses some of the aromatic parts. Percival smells like a heavier, thicker shower gelly fresh fragrance and the dry down keeps most of its amazing scent dna and becomes even more pleasant.

I tend to say PdM fragrances are overrated but they are generally crowd pleasers unlike many niche brands. Percival is perhaps the most popular among them. Defeating Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme? It made it look easier than it should have been.

Layton was actually the most popular of PDM fragrances until people realized how much of a compliment monster Percival was and the fact that it was versatile. You can wear Percival all year round. You can not with Layton, but you could get away with wearing it in the summer, but you would have to go easy with the trigger. Less is more as they say.
