Your story reminds me a lot of me with my 12 plate Fiesta 1.2. Bought it at 9 years old, just 40,000 miles, first thing I did after I passed was a McDonald’s run. I was a bit nervous and took it easy for the first few months, but now I’ve been up and down the country without any problems. The car has proved popular with friends and girls, the former mainly because I was the first in my group to get a car with 5 doors, and the latter because they like the ride quality, and don’t find as cheap as other small cars (before you ask, it’s a Zetec, not a Titanium). Sadly I’ve had one too many run ins with 21 plate and newer Kia Sportages that think nothing of doing 40mph on large open single carriageways, and busy ones where you can’t overtake them. The worst ones are probably the A426, the A6, and the A47.

Fiesta is an alright car just make sure you service it on interval. Happy driving though mate!

@@MattysCarsSadly the Fiesta had to go last week. The coolant bottle started leaking, my local garage couldn’t be arsed to fix it properly, causing it to blow a head gasket and three cylinders. I got it fixed because of its otherwise good condition and low mileage, but I think the damage was done because the coolant continued to drop, so I decided it was best to sell it and just let it be someone else’s problem. Unfortunately, this gave me the challenge of finding a decent replacement that I didn’t find drab and dreary. Eventually, I found a 69 plate Golf 1.6 diesel, which has one of my favourite modern interiors, but had to join the dark side, and will be driving it on an HP. Never mind, everyone likes a 69 plate. 😏

Bought a yellow saxo in march 22 for £500 and since then it's driven to Monaco and back, done the Nordschleife, NC500, and Edinburgh to London x2....no issues yet
