Omg! So i read the instructions and saw you used a straight stitch. How did you do that without the stitches popping!?
@ninjaturtle3655 ай бұрын
Thank you for this video!!! I have a few questions. I've seen so many people use a straight stitch with stretch fabric when making dollies and their clothes. Is this what you'd use as well?? For instance, let's say I'm making socks or a dress, could i still use a straight stitch? What if i want to add lace trim on the stretch fabric? How would i go about that? Thanks!!

Hi can I use the face design to sell my dolls. If so how do I purchase
@Winter_Rose137 ай бұрын
I just got a pattern for Godey doll dresses, I believe. It's an older pattern with instructions for a 12-inch doll and a full wardrobe. Im so excited to try and embroider the dollie's face instead of using felt. Thank you so much for this tutorial!

I love your dollys. What pattern are you using and how do I get it. I have a Brother SE-400. I’ve had it for about 5 years now. I tried downloading patterns but could never get them to work with my machine. I am 75 and kind of technically challenged. So if you have any suggestions, l’d greatly appreciate it. I love your tutorials and have subscribed to your station. Thank you, Joyce de la Rosa

Do you have a video tutorial on how to embroider eyes onto a stuffed dolly face? Thank you for sharing so much knowledge:)
@DollsAndDaydreams Жыл бұрын
Alas no. However if you sink your knot through the back of the head and embroider the eyes using the padded satin stitch. Once finished with the eye again sink the knot through to the back and cut the tail you'll be golden 😘✂️🧵 hope that helps! Happy sewing 🥰

I am just finishing dolls #2 & #3 schoolgirl and sweet sister ITH patterns. I used kona cotton for the face which I backed with an iron on interfacing. No matter how much I stuff, I can't get some of the wrinkles out? Any tips? Should I not back the cotton with the interfacing? I thought it would make it more durable. I love your patterns and will be making many more.
@DollsAndDaydreams2 жыл бұрын
So pleased you're having fun with my patterns. No I don't recommend you back the face or any of the fabric. It makes the fabric stiff and those wrinkles especially around the edges of rounded seams in the hands head etc will pucker ... use your kona on your next doll, and after you stuff them (they take a ton of stuffing) spritz the face with distilled water and they will magically fall out . Pop over to the free tutorials section on my website for a full explanation on this 😘✂️🧵 take care and happy new year sewing!

Oh hey, this is actually pretty helpful! I was using double-theaded stitches, not triple! That explains why my embroidery was so weak. Won't be needing to rely on felt quite so much now. Thanks for providing this tutorial!
