Late to the party but I've been burning through your content lately and have really enjoyed it. Some of your content really takes me back to my youth and formative metal days in the early '80s as a 13-14 year old, just some great memories. Anyway, just a few comments on some of these albums/bands: Defenders of the Faith - Like you, my first concert was Judas Priest in support of this album...saw them in Columbus Ohio with Canada's own Kick Axe. Took my first girlfriend, whose initial's were JP, and she was a huge Priest fan. I had put this album aside for a long time but it has reemerged for me in the past few years. Hall of the Mountain King - Power of the Night was my entry album for Savatage but 'Hall' came next I imagine. 24 Hours Ago and White Witch are great, but nothing beats the first record and the EP for me in regards to Savatage. W.A.S.P. - Saw these guys on this tour headlining a club with support acts Metallica(!) and Heaven. Earlier in the day WASP had a signing at a local record store and I had them sign an 'Animal' picture disc, which was unfortunately stolen at some point. Freakin' loved this album at the time and still roll through it now and then. That's it for now, keep rockin' the content!

I found 13 ponderous and boring. All chopped together. Not exciting. I have utter disdain for Technical Ecstasy. Sabotage is my favorite. Mob Rules. The production on Born Again kills it. I really need to peruse the Tony Martin era more. Just didn't feel like Black Sabbath after Bill and Geezer left. Felt more like another band with Tony Iommi in it. For us as kids, Black Sabbath died after Born Again. I did my ranking video. Check it out.

It's a great looking box set Darcy. I do like those reimagined artworks. They definitely need framing! I may pick this set up, it's not a priority yet for me as I have that CD box set and I'm still missing a couple of studio albums from them. Roll the bones is a very overlooked album of theirs, my favourite out of these four.

Always good to hear your thoughts on the Maiden albums Darcy. And yeah you're spot on when you say no one can be wrong with the ranking, everyone has their own favourites. Senjutsu definitely has room to move up, it's just that it's got a lot of strong competition. Yeah I don't know why they didn't do any anniversary album for Killers of Piece of mind, would be a nice collectors set. If you've not heard it check out Murder One which Paul did in the early 90s, a hidden gem album. Also if you've not heard it Blaze does a really good live version of angel and the gambler on a recent live album, it's more a rock n roll version.
@GRockVC5 күн бұрын
Good to hear your thoughts on the albums Darcy. Quite a tough ranking to do as they have a very consistent discography, even though they've had a few lineup changes. Iron Bound and Killbox are definitely a couple of underrated albums that can easily hold their own against their first few classics. it's still cool they are still putting out top quality albums to this day. I think I'll listen to some Overkill today 🤘🤘

Hello Darcy 👋 nice unboxing and review video 👍 very complete and well done 👌. I also have recently started a vinyl collection of Rush legacy, listening more deeply their music. The 40th anniversary releases of their main albums are very good editions, even if the super deluxe boxsets are mostly expensive. Well I bought the 5 LP boxset of Moving Pictures and I’m waiting for the super deluxe boxset of Permanent Waves from USA 😁🤙. Great stuff ! I just received my boxset of those 4 albums from Rhino and I enjoy it fully like you. Even if I would appreciate a few pages book with it, of some informations and photos, and that the illustration artwork would be directly printed on the box rather than a glued sheet. Whatever it’s a wonderful boxset and nice new artworks, plus the enjoyable music on vinyl 🤘. I consider Rush and Dream Theater as the two greatest progressive metal/hard rock bands. By the way Rhino also released a similar boxset of the 4 first DT albums a few months ago (also in my collection 😁😅). Two others volumes are planned for 2025. Thanks for your super channel 👌. Have a nice day ! Greetings from France 👋🤘

Those reissues of "Presto" and "Roll the Bones" look like the original pressings, same inners and same center lables. I had those two on vinyl but sold them not too long ago.
