Copied description: Here's a beautiful new project for you: a two-sided painted chakra dot mandala tutorial on a wooden bookmark. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Supplies for this project: • 4.7x1.3 inch wood bookmark • Colorful tassels • DIY Mandala Stones dotting tools (1-16 set) • Toothpick • DecoArt Americana paints (I used black, white, gold, and the seven chakra colors of red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, dark blue, and purple.) • White charcoal pencil • Paint palette or paint cups • Acrylic sealant spray or Mod Podge • Parchment paper Before starting to paint, give the bookmark a layer of black paint, let dry, then seal the surface with sealant spray or Mod Podge. This will help your dots not soak into the wood as you're painting, ensuring they're round and even. When you're completely finished with this project, seal both sides of the bookmark to protect the paint, and let it dry completely (for at least a few days) before using. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Copyright © 2021 LLCreativeStudios, All rights reserved. Can you skip the heat cure and just seal them or did you leave off the sealing step and just leave it matte?
@LLCreativeStudios
@LLCreativeStudios Жыл бұрын
Coasters are designed for moisture, so the paint has to be protected one way or another. If you use multi-surface paint, you can heat seal and then you don't need any other type of sealant. If you use regular acrylic paint instead of multi-surface, you'll need to seal it with something before allowing any moisture to come in contact with it.
