This tutorial is a notebook project, based on my most popular video. With over 265,000 views so far on the original speed-paint, I know this tutorial is something that so many of you have been asking for! (Note: If you want to speed up the video or slow it down, you can do so in the video settings.)

I used a black notebook for this project, but you can paint on any color you want as long as you coordinate the paint colors you use on it. I do not recommend painting a base coat on any notebook. When your notebook project is completed and fully dry, I recommend using a brush-on varnish or Mod Podge to seal and protect your work.
Obviously you can paint this design on anything--it doesn't have to be a notebook! It would be beautiful on canvas, or even on the back of a jean jacket. Also, I've listed the colors I used, but use your imagination and feel free to use something different!
Supplies Needed:
• Black notebook
• DIY Mandala Stones dotting tools (1-28 FULL set) (I used: www.amazon.com/Mandala-Dottin...)
• Wood toothpick
• Nail stylus tools
• DecoArt Americana Acrylic paints in the colors of your choice. I used: Light Sage, Warm White, Splendid Gold, Petal Pink, Razzle Berry, and Mulberry. Top dots, I used: DecoArt Pink Tourmaline Metallic, and FolkArt Plum Flash and Orchid Flash Color Shift paints.
(Colors in order: Light Sage, Warm White, Splendid Gold, Petal Pink, Light Sage, Razzle Berry, Light Sage, Splendid Gold, Mulberry, Warm White, Mulberry, Razzle Berry, Petal Pink, Light Sage, Warm White, Splendid Gold.)
• Paint palette or paint cups
• Cotton swabs & cup of water
• Sealer (spray is preferable to liquid since liquid could warp the cardboard cover)
• Lazy Susan with non-slip grip pad
🌺 THE STENCIL 🌺
I used a stencil and a chalk marker, but you can also go with no stencil at all, just making your best guess based on how it looks compared to the tutorial video. By following along with the tutorial, you can make a good guess as to where the dots should go in relation to the surrounding dots.
Thank you for watching!
