Wow, I hadn't see this one before. Liza had really come into her own at this point. The poise, the confidence, the mastery of her instrument - wonderful. Just standing still and emoting with those big eyes.

I guess you have to make allowances for this being a pop take on the song. Even so, it's a terrible arrangement, with the jaunty, upbeat accompaniment pretty much evoking the opposite mood to the lyrics. Interesting that Liza would do an even more unusual - but much more successful - pop interpretation of the song years later (with the Pet Shop Boys).

I saw him at the Roxy and Hollywood very intimate setting and oh perhaps the best concert ever Encountered the passion, the sincerity of is of his voice the way he moved. Everybody was phenomenal. I’ll never forget it my whole life and at the time I was with somebody I was so in love with so it made it so special.
