Get this track on the official funeral playlist soon… vocal version doesn’t cut it at the ceremony.

Bill Wyman does not get enough credit for what may be the best Stones song ever. He wrote the riff on piano but didn’t get credit. And that’s Keith on bass. Yet what gives this song the otherworldly cool swinging 60s feel is Wyman’s organ work throughout - and particularly the end. A true team effort here but give Bill his props!

Fuzz bass = Bill Wyman in one of the earliest users of this type of guitar played with a growling fuzz bass tone on the 1966 Rolling Stones songs " Under My Thumb" and "Flight 505" from their album Aftermath.

I've played guitar for nearly 50 years and started seriously playing keys about 20 years ago. I'll never be considered a good keyboard player - I'm far too simplistic and can't divorce my two hands timing-wise - but I will ALWAYS be inspired by Nicky. Of all the great rock keyboard players - and there are many - he will always be my favorite.

If I'm not mistaken - this is the only Dylan song to go to #1.....and it was the Byrd's version that did so. I understand that the Byrds released their version slightly BEFORE Dylan's album w/ Tambourine Man came out. Also - it was Tambourine Man that launched the Byrds!

Oh bloody hell this is absolutely amazing, what a find , great way to start a gloomy January morning. This 75 year old mod is jumping ( in my mind) and dancing again. This was a REAL mod band ( way in front of the who). Thanks for this 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😎

This version is not quite enough! All you have to do is compairing it with the one where Mick sings.... So much better!!! When I was thirteen, I heard it over and over and over.... Still, there was a friend of mine who played it on acoustic guitar and all the others would sing along, thousands of times!!!

Whose guitar is it that comes in sometimes after the chorus? Like at 1:04. So catchy. You don’t hear it in the studio version.

The radio DJ was the legendary STAN ROFE on radio 3UZ Melbourne.. A truly great man who did so much for Aussie artists in the 1960's He was much loved by all. I went to his funeral in the 1990's .

He had a great talent for adding so much to a song with very little, regardless of the instrument he played. His unique approach and gifted musical ear often made the song. Between the Buttons was the last great record he played on IMO

One, two! I was born in a crossfire hurricane And I howled at the morning drivin' rain But it's all right now, in fact it's a gas But it's all right, I'm jumpin' jack flash It's a gas, gas, gas I was raised by a toothless, bearded hag I was schooled with a strap right across my back But it's all right now, in fact it's a gas But it's all right, I'm jumpin' jack flash It's a gas, gas, gas (oh) I was drowned, I was washed up and left for dead I fell down to my feet and I saw they bled Yeah, yeah I frowned at the crumbs of a crust of bread Yeah, yeah, yeah I was crowned with a spike right through my head My, my, yeah But it's all right now, in fact it's a gas But it's all right, I'm jumpin' jack flash It's a gas, gas, gas Jumpin' jack flash, it's a gas Jumpin' jack flash, it's a gas Jumpin' jack flash, it's a gas Jumpin' jack flash, it's a gas Jumpin' jack flash, it's a gas
