Clickbait at its best. To call Austria a hidden hiking destination no one visits is the falsest thing I have seen on the internet. If you spend only one day in the Austrian mountains in summer you should have seen that. That is not how youtube and the internet should work...

Tbh if I were to talk about areas that no one visits for hiking, Austria would not be on the list.. Not that there is a problem with that, but this video is too broad and yet too specific. There are areas of France and Italy (I can’t speak for others) which are more remote and less visited than some areas of the Austrian Alps. Which is normal, but because they’re such large areas, that more or less transcend borders, it makes comparison almost impossible or make sweeping statements such as “the Austrian Alps are often overshadowed by their Swiss and Italian neighbours.” Better would have been to have been much more specific about the regions you are hiking in.

Here a quick google search: The Alps are found in the following countries: Austria (28.7% of the range's area), Italy (27.2%), France (21.4%), Switzerland (13.2%), Germany (5.8%), Slovenia (3.6%), Liechtenstein (0.08%) and Monaco (0.001%)
