First went to Lynton and Lynmouth in 1963 with my family to say it was my dad favourite place would be a understatement and it rubbed off on me . He would tell me stories of Lorna Doone my imagination would run wild ,when I go back it’s like a pilgrimage back to a better time in my life

In 2012 I spent the best 15 days of my life there walking on those beautiful hills. How I would like to go back! 😭I'm Italian, I live in Tuscany, in Lucca.

Such a beautiful place - we just returned from a 4 night stay there. We walked the Watersmeet trail back to Lynmouth, and got the funicular up to Lynton. The cliff top walk to the Valley of the Rocks is pretty epic too, and there's loads of mountain goats along the way 😀 highly recommend the East Lyn House B&B where we stayed, and had breakfast on the terrace overlooking the East Lyn River!

Please can you tell me how long it takes to get to watersmeet from Lynmouth/lynton. How many miles? I'm going there in a couple of days and only staying 2 nights with one full day.
@Tristandewet Жыл бұрын
It’s just under two miles and a relatively easy path to follow, so takes about 1hr each way if your going at an easy pace 👍🏼
