If you don't have good academic scores in graduation and Post graduation, never do phd because your API score doesn't meet cutoff for getting job in government university.

Experience, post doc requirements kya hai aur agar koyi PhD ke baad industry me kaam karta hai aur phir Assistant Professor ke liye apply karta hai toh kya unnka experience consider hoga ?

Industry me jo kam karte hai uske bad Assistant professor banana chahte hai to unka industrial experience bahut jyada matter karta hai. Bahut log aisa karte hai. Achha university me Assistant professor (as a fresher) banane ke liye sirf PhD chahiye hota hai. Agar experinnce hai to jyada achha hai. Agar industrial experience hai to professor for practice karke job milta hai, usme salary bahut achha milta hai. Lekin PhD chahiye agar achha university me job chahiye to.

I think its a wrong statement that BITS pay more, the salary of BITS (basic pay) is exactly similar to that of IITS (say old IITs), however actual in hand salary is slightly higher in old IITs..

@@physicsguru427 As per information gathered from my friends, at first level of Assistant Professor Job, BITS basic pay is more. You can see the advertisement of any IIT also old or new, initial basic pay is similar. I may be wrong also.

@@harichourasia7932 Do Part-time PhD not full time. Currently job after PhD in mechanical is not good. I will suggest, don't leave job even in sales. In long run, if you have PhD degree you can become professor of practice In universities as industrial experts. Your salary will also be very good.

@@zvikrnt It depends upon your TA supervisor what work he will give you? Generally it includes UG, PG classroom attendance, PPT making, paper correction etc. Maximum TA duty in a week 6-8 hours. It will start from 1st semester. But It also varies in different IITs.

@@rabindrakumarravi1963 Agar SSC JE hota hai to waha join kar lijia. Apka age ke according approx 35 years me PhD hoga to IIT me Postdoc to nahi milega lekin aur jagah mil jayega, India ke bahar. Phir bhi PhD karne ka man kare to part-time PhD kar lijia. SSC JE me achha se lag ke le lijia job.

Yes, you can become, but in Private schools. Many private schools also ask for BEd. Government schools need BEd.
