It’s because the bfg splash is hitting the flail, but the unmaykr isnt. If you aimed for the flail I’m pretty sure the armor would break way faster

@@eldunari6676 I don't believe the flail actually takes extra damage, or at the very least it doesn't if it's not flashing mid-attack (which I think is less "damage" and more "if a weapon that can crit hits it" but I'm not as confident about that).

Hey bloodshot, appreciate your mod but one problem I have is whenever I am not using the mod and I go into a save slot that has everything unlocked and mastered, it crashes whenever I fire the base combat shotgun. Just wanted to bring that to your attention in case if it’s something everyone experiences whenever they’re not using the mod and play a completed save file or tag 1 & 2.

Unsure. My total playtime is 71.5 hours, and I didn't play all that much after the first major update, so probably around 40 hours in the base game. Although I had something like 60+ in the demo (which was just Stygia), so it's probably safe to say about 80 significant hours of playtime.

Heavy cannon needs this too in my opinion. The primary fire is made completely redundant and I've basically never seen it used in high level play. Come to think of it, the plasma rifle is much the same.

@@pootispencer9765 at a high level, Heavy Cannon is used to set up glory kills on imps/other fodder, but I do think it needs to be hitscan rather than projectiles. Plasma Rifle is actually ok, even has a decent sized explosion on impact, the only issue is it has to compete with Ballista which is just waaaay better for both damage and utility. It's similar to Unmaykr. On paper, Unmaykr damage is actually pretty great for the ammo cost, it's just that BFG is leagues better and much easier to use.

@@BloodShot9001 Cannon primary fire has a cool particle so it might be more aesthetically pleasing to just up the projectile velocity. The ballista is just super busted due to weapon swap meta ensuring burst superiority. Tbh it's primary fire could use a subtle nerf. The gauss cannon was peak though, I miss that thing

@@Rudi4rius honestly anybody could make a mod like that, it'd be pretty simple (remove the heat decrement on Sticky Bomb, decrease the interval, and make it hold instead of press to fire). I am considering making that happen to this weapon when using Overdrive, if that's possible, but for now I'm happy with this as a first mod/learning experience.

@@proaxel7003 you could replace a weapon most likely. Adding weapons is probably trickier. You can also add "new" weapon mods but they'd not show up in the menu, you'd only be able to swap with the mod swap button. It's kind of weird how everything works right now.

@@Gougaru I wanted to get it to work that way but unfortunately no. As soon as you pick "either" mod, it gives both "mods" to you immediately (and they activate/deactivate at the same time). I wanted it to be progressive like you said but id studio is weird.

@@DudeWheresMyCardz yes, I had a backup save file that I would use whenever I wanted to do earlier levels. I'd backup my normal save and use the old one, then when I wanted to do Archdevil or other levels I'd go back to my og save.

I'm considering it! It's a little harder to easily make this sort of concept work. That said, I think having Micro Missiles = Primary, Precision Bolt = Secondary would be a neat thing for the weapon. I don't think the balance on those weapons are so bad that it's "necessary" like Full Auto vs. Sticky Bomb is... but the idea is interesting enough that it could be fun. ALSO ALSO I want to make a mod that enables the Any% Speedrun "IDKFA" glitch weapon, because I figure that'd be cool for people to try out. XD

@@verolis6330 if you want to play around/mess with something to see how it works, I recommend either duplicating the decl file and using one as an "untouched" decl to always refer to, OR (what i do) make a new mod and dont make actual changes to it. If you ever want to revert an edited decl file to its default, go to the base mod, change one setting -> revert to default the same setting, and the decl file will appear in the mods filepath. From here you can copy/paste the decl to the other mod and it'll be back to what it is by default. This way you can make wild changes just to figure out how something works, and if you accidentally break too much and dont know how to easily fix it, you can more quickly revert changes rather than needing to start over from scratch. The learning curve for id studio so far is huge, and honestly I have years of experience in software dev and working with Unity/Godot. None of it really helped a lot, so just keep practicing/figuring stuff out.

@@oimoi5280 it's not exactly infinite. We have save files that have 100's of thousands of tokens so that players dont have to constantly grind between runs just to waste currency, etc. The save files should be available in the speedrun discord.
