We did the same thing with our Starlink but used a telescopic aluminium pole from jaycar. Lucky hubby (Mr P ) did ours

Was there a reason you chose the 240v Starlink instead of the12v Starlink?

Cost me a fortune to send the pole to WA but I wouldn't be without it a year later full time clamp on the back of the van. I put my own hole through the floor into the cupboard.

Been looking at doing something similar and the new starlink mini has a integrated wifi router. You can also get a 12v adapter kit, did you guys look into the starlink mini at all? Thanks for sharing your set up 😊 👍

Guys please tell me you didn’t ditch the Stand for Dishy .. it stores well upside down between your gas bottles. When we’re out on the road there’s been a lot of times where we had to run the dish out a fair distance to avoid trees

Hi thanks for the comment, the Tare is 2280kg and ATM is 3000kg, ball weight is approx 270kg (10% is optimal) Van weight is 2730kg. Full weight checked and falls well within all legal limits. So total payload is 720kg which is plenty enough for what we do.

@@MrB_GDA I have the MDC HR 16 and I tow it with a Toyota Hilux rugged 2018 with a Lovells GVM 3500 kg and GCM to 6500 kg with all the extras I have on my Hilux it weighs 2650 kg empty so the GVM upgrade was needed.

@@MrB_GDA That’s good, but heavy on a single axle and tyres. More maintenance, Have dual axle and road pressure at 34psi for load.

@@ab7406 multiple builders have mentioned that any van under 20FT that are dual axle limits the mounting of water tanks as they have to be mounted to far forward and throws all the weights and safety out of the Van…different course for different horse…
