Very cool. In case this helps, think of the slide thing like measuring cups, you set the tempo by “reading” the flat top of the metronome. So by matching the sliding thing to where the top matches the 90 line, means you are matching the tempo of the piece (say a half note = 90). Anyone who uses a decimal place (I.e. a quarter note = 90.8 beats) goes straight to the ninth level of hell.

Cool. At the risk of being unduly obvious, I reckon you should call him Klaus Zwischenticher.

Hi Phoebe, the best tool to cut or carve foam with are hot foam knives. I see Cosplayers making armor out of high end crafting foam and they all use heated foam carving knives.

Such a cool project! Fractured Fairy Tales often has a furry gnome with a big hat carrying the sign at the end of the story. Not sure how to post a picture here, so good luck!

I must confess, dear Phoebe, that when I was only five years old that I did a careful sewing operation on a stuffed (not real) Easter bunny, to remove and play the music box that played Brahms Lullaby. I then immediately sewed the stuffed bunny back up, but I've still always felt a little bit guilty about it. That was a half of a century ago. There is no such of a thing as "emotional closure". kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHmshIyfe8qkocU

A finely serrated knife could be used to split your cone from top to bottom, and then you could use the same knife to cut half the hole out of each side. One cut to split the cone, and then four cuts in each half of the cone. Then tape or glue the halves back together.
