An overambitious tune on a fretless friday! What could be more perfect. and Progress over perfection now... You make those slide notes sound better every time I hear you play. I never considered going fretless before and now I am eager to be fret free!

Very enjoyable fretless Salt Spring. I'm not sure I've ever heard it played on fretless before, but it fits - especially the slides into the chord progression in the chorus.

Thank you. I sure needed a fretless Friday. I just sat back, soaked it all in and enjoyed every bit of it.❤️

I’m 1 centimetre into my first cup of coffee and have come to spend it with you and your music and moulting chickens. It’s almost 10 am in New Zealand on Saturday and Fretless Friday is a nice way to enjoy a weekend cuppa! Those slide passages are tricky, as is accidentally switching from major to minor mode. Pretty tune, pretty hard, pretty good all round!

As always, a beautiful setting, and I really liked your approach to the tune. The repeating descent to a minor chord caught my ear. Sounded like one of your strings was sliding out of tune, but I do hope you share this one with us again as you develop it further. OK, time to go look at the Northern Kentucky sky! Thank you, Phoebe! 🙂👍

The minor tone creates a tension against the root/major that feels like it has to be resolved.

This was a very nice version of "Salt Spring". Not that it wasn't perfect, but nobody expects perfection, not just from you but from anyone. Absolute perfection is inhuman, and would ultimately sound very wrong. If, by some chance, you ever do hit a wrong note, not that you ever would, just call it improvisation.
