Maybe stupid question, i am now watching your great video. I saw you have to hammer hub quite a lot before you get shock removed. I would put big flathead screwdriver in that groove with hammer, to spread it. Then shock is much more easy to remove. At least in E46 series it helps. Second thing, maybe good idea to use some lubricant spray on spring compressors. Some people said you should only use hand tools when you tight spring compressors, not impact.

Hi 50s KID, Can you help me please? "I replaced the valve cover gasket and after starting the engine, it started to hum and the engine ran as if a cylinder was misfiring. The humming noise comes from the CCV tube that goes into the valve cover. When I disconnect it, there is pressure coming from the tube that causes the humming. When I block the tube with my hand, the engine runs well. Do you know how to solve this problem?" Thanks Joseph

Bilstein B4's are easier to fit as a DIY as they don't need such high compression of the spring, they do a m-sport version as well.

I have mounted my rear shocks but I didn't have to do all that what you did especially underneath with the bolts It's actually there's an easier way You're doing it the more difficult and unefficient way for the rear

Catalytic converters have a chemical on the wafer that helps brake down the carbon passing through it. Once that chemical is no longer effective. The Catalytic converter is no longer operating effectively. You are only cleaning the wafer. The chemical is no longer there.

Coming from air tools there is a learning curve cuz I burnt the motor out of my first generation. 3/8 ratchet... Because I was holding the button down just a little while cranking stuff loose and it was smoking it out or running into boogered threads to or bolts

Hie guys can you please assist me with my car is 2000 model BMW E46 318i Automatic . l think l went pass through a big stone in the road and it hit my gearbox pan folding it upwards but not breaking it and l managed to get home and parked the car .Then the next day l started the car and as l try to put the car in drive it is stopping at the Reverse(R) slot even if you try to force it to reach the neutral (N) and the Drive(D) slot it is bouncing back to the Reverse slot infact its not getting in Neutral nor Drive(D) .I suspected the sound l heard underneath the car yesterday and when l checked underneath l could see the gearbox pan was damaged it has folded a bit upwards but its not linking any transmission oil .My question is can this damage of folding the pan upwards cause the car not to engage in N and D and how can l fix the pan to be straight need you help guys

had that problem ON/OFF for about 2 years. it did not bother me until one day all DSC lights came ON and stayed ON,,, however I already had an idea of what my problem was, one pressure sensor was malfunctioning and once the second went bad lights went On permanently,,,so one mechanic refused to replace 2 pressure sensors claiming it is ODD for 2 of them go bad & it must be DSC module $2550 for the job- funny guy with 35 years of master BMW certification,,,, went to another one who in less than 3 hours and 125 for a labor plus the cost of sensors replaced them,,,,Problem Solved,,, HINT: do not buy these sensors at the dealer or genuine bmw,,, they are freaking GM pressure sensors and cost 10x less than what bmw wants for them,, iI paid 27$ each vs $214,,,,

Don't complain about lack of space to work until you've done this on a RHD with the steering rack in the way. The v band's are impossibly hard to get back on the stock dp's too.
