Man I want to get this exact set up for my upcoming trip to Europe and your pictures of Venice just made my decision clear. Thanks

im going to my first ever solo trip next yr to Japan. I have no idea on color grading but will learn it soon before and after the trip. Should i shoot DlogM with Auto settings cause im scared to ruin my only trip footage by doing manual settings with no to little knowledge considering low lights settings too

Okay Erwin I’m gonna rent that lens just on your recommendation. I like the feel of it. It seems kinda old school

Nice overview. I’m sticking with my APSC, even though I’d love a Full Frame.

You should try a 28mm 2.8 minolta md lens, i recently bought one from facebook marketplace and i can tell you that the images it produces feel just as they should be. Im running it with a kf concept adapter on my a7iii.

So if i get a Nikon D7100 with Sigma 30mm f1.4 I won't be able to take photos or video of Northern lights in darkness?
@erwinmarionneaux10 күн бұрын
You can take pictures of the northern lights with any camera and lens, it just depends on the quality of image you want and how much work you want to do to get it
@alexSkamn27410 күн бұрын
@@erwinmarionneaux I mean for high quality, not phone quality. Because i found this set and i am not sure if the zoom is much for views. Plus i am between Sony a7 and Nikon d5600

I wish Sony made a mark ii for this lens at double or a little more of the old price but with significant upgrades- with inbuilt stabilizer, faster AF and all kinds of new and improved features that are appropriate enough to the price of 500-600$. Keep the f1.8 and the size, they're already perfect as is, just upgrade the speed and everything else.
@erwinmarionneaux10 күн бұрын
I’d say an updated version would be great, mainly with new autofocus motors. There wouldn’t be a need for a built in stabilizer which would also add to the size and price. It’s already on the expensive side for what it is and they have a 50mm f2.5 with all the upgrades at $600

So, this video is part of the reason i decided to get the macbook pro m3, 14inch, 18gb ram, 512ssd for video editing. However I'm editing just 1080 p, two video tracks stacked on top of each other in lightworks and the video is slowing down, the playback isn't buttery smooth at all and I'm mind blown because how can an m3 pro chip not handle 1080p footage? Does anyone know what the problem might me?
@erwinmarionneaux11 күн бұрын
I think this is an issue with lightworks. I don’t think they’ve optimized it to take advantage of the Apple chips
@alexiswolf154911 күн бұрын
@@erwinmarionneaux 😢😢. You know what, I just tested the same footage in cap cut and I think you're right because it's smooth there. Any recommendations for free video editing software? ( so final cut pro is out😂)

Hey 👋🏾 Erwin I’m a new beginner & I brought a NEX7 that came with a 18-55mm Kit lens for $300 & it’s like brand new I am not a photographer 📷 so I wanted to ask if you think the Sony 50mm F1.8 or the OSS version will be fully compatible with my NEX 7? & will it put out better video quality than my kit lens?

super nice! what's your opinion to buy a ronin as a main camera? im actually looking since 5 months around and i dont want to have huge bundles, i need a run and gun kit wich support cinema lenses, (im thinking of the slr micro or the Dulens apo Cf ) thanks for sharing this video!
