I live close to Richmond, Richmond Virginia that is. Your land is quite beautiful. Today is the day here in the USA we celebrate Thanksgiving. On October 28 I was told I had a very serious cancer. I had a procedure yesterday that said there was no evidence of cancer anywhere. So yeah we are certainly celebrating Thanksgiving.

My hubby hates queues will drive miles out of his way instead. Sold house for 3rd time. Lost the house in Amble, so going to Widdrington Station instead. Watching this at 4am. As had a knee op, am in agony
@michoumakes5 күн бұрын
oh no! Janice. what a horrendous house move you're on. I watch a vlog about a lady who lives i,n Brighton. she wanted to downsize from her detached house to an apartment in Brighton. She kept losing out to other buyers and the estate agent told her she'd be better off selling her house first so that she was a cash buyer. She did just that and was then able to buy an apartment as a cash buyer. she put her house contents in storage and spent 6 weeks staying in an Airbnb until the sale was complete. it sounds to me like that's the way people are being told to do it these days. Whittington station isn't A bad move. I'm not sure what it's like these days but in my day when I lived up there it was considered a nice place to live. His lordship has been banging on at me for to move up to Amble but I'm just not ready for it yet. Which she says when the time comes I might not be ready for it. 🫣😉😳 I remember Brian's mum had a knee operation and she was in complete pain with it. She said the pain was unbearable but after it settled down she said it made a vast difference for her knee and wish that she could have got the other knee done. Let's hope you quickly meant Janice and even more so, let's hope this flipping house gets sold and you end up moving up north where you want to be. 😉👍😍

Loved traveling with you in the UK! My granddaughter is living there for 2 years and loves it over there! It is nice you get out and view the world our Lord has given us!! We are celebrating Thanksgiving here tomorrow here in America( Nov. 28)! So I have been baking for several days. Made some shortbread cookies and thought of you while making them( and eating them, with tea of course!❤

Happy Thanksgiving Cheryl. A strange tradition for us in the UK. Not one we celebrate but I get the feeling it seems more important than Christmas for you in the US. Correct me if I'm wrong of course. 😉😍

@@michoumakes hello from the US again! Yes, Thanksgiving is very important for us to be very thankful that the first settlers here almost starved to death before they could get use to this new land and once they serviced gave thanks for the food they learned to grow and hunt. But people here still make a big deal over Christmas too!!

I am in total agreement with "His Geezerness" - I hate doing queues. In fact, after I left Uni, a short stint with the Canadian Consulate, I headed back home to Canada. The queuing in London for anything & everything totally did my head in, along with blackouts in the underground, the IRA blowing up things. I am pretty sure you can guess the era I was in London for a couple of years. Here we don't wait 5 minutes for anything. We are spoiled rotten. Lovely fall day out and about. Beautiful beach. (PS Now that I am old, I don't have the bladder for queues.) Totally enjoyed your video. Always good for a chuckle or two.

Wow! I remember those times. I went shopping to London whilst heavily pregnant back then. A car backfired and it frightened me. I tripped and fell over as I was crossing Oxford street. My then hubby thought I'd been shot! Scary times! 🫣😍
@seaside20015 күн бұрын
@@michoumakes Thanks for the comment. It was a very scary time and interesting to read your experience. No lasting problems from your fall I hope, with either yourself, or your baby. Coming from Canada, this kind of thing was totally out of the range of my experience. I was happy to go home. I did have to make one trip into Dublin with the Consulate, to assist with the closing of the Canadian Consulate there temporarily and get people on planes back to Canada at the height of the "Troubles" as the Irish called it. We went to a small pub, dark inside, windows blacked out like it was WW2. I have returned to London to enjoy theatre weeks over the years, and thoroughly enjoyed being there, staying in the same B & B on Gower Street, near the University, my old stomping grounds. Being able to go to dinner, walk to the theatre district, buy cheap tickets a noon, for whatever they reduced seats to, last minute, to fill empty seats, then walking back to the B & B when the show let out. No worries, didn't feel unsafe. Those days are long gone.

Thankfully there were no lasting effects at all on the baby. He is about to turn 50 next week and is a High School English teacher and well liked by students and staff. Yes it took me a great many years to like an Irish accent or even consider watching any movies where there was an Irish voice after all the troubles in Ireland. And I agree long gone are the days where you could get a last minute ticket to anywhere at a decent price nowadays. So sad. xxx

@@michoumakes It has been interesting exchanging our experiences from back in the day. Michou, we could have easily passed each other on the street, walking in that area of London. My parents were concerned about me living in London, given all the strife at the time, and encouraged me to come home and put in for a transfer within the diplomatic offices, and take a position based in Canada. I was just part of the Office support staff, not a lofty position, but I did enjoy working in that Government department.

With a black fabric belt , it will be a ditto copy of Jo goody ( I follow her too and do not like the promotions that You tubers take on .They should stick to their content. With some of them, they spend almost quarter of the time promoting the products .It is okay, if it is just a quick mention of the product with the link.)

Stunning. Don't bother making the sash style belt, the belt you are wearing works beautifully. Maybe change the interconnecting buckle to red? But regardless, the simplicity of the belt enhances the elegance of the dress. Dior would have been proud to claim it.

Now your lordship has to take you out somewhere elegant on a date so you can enjoy your elegant dress in the right atmosphere. Happy sewing. Bernadette
