Love the tiny scrap at the end. Great idea. TFS. Found the cling at a flea thrift store for a $1.00. Looking forward to watching lots of videos on how to use it. So happy I bought it.

Aimee, good video but each of my blocks are a different design..a sampler block. Plus each one is a bit different in size. I am very frustrated. I see this video is 11 years old but it popped up. Any suggestions on different block designs? Thank you

Hi Debbie! Here's Aimee's reply: Hi Debbie, not all blocks are squareable, hahaha is that a word? anyway, if you have for instance a 9 patch and you square it up then you will have smaller blocks in the outer area. It's so important to really start off right. I encourage you to always text out your seam, the best way for blocks to turn out right is to have that consistent 1/4" seam allowance. Start with 3 strips, 1 1/2" wide by 3 long. sew along the long side and measure the center. it should measure 1". if it doesn't then move your needle as needed. Yes it was a long time ago we made videos. We closed the shop, just wasn't making enough to keep going. I still teach and hope to one day get back to doing more videos. Thanks for watching! Aimee

Hi Jeniffer ... I'm Aimee's husband. We stopped making videos a while ago. We shut down our store in Indian Trail, NC back in 2010 and tried to keep the video thing going, but having to get back into the IT job market, my time was limited with editing, etc. I think we were ahead or our time with this. Nowadays, it seems everybody's got a KZbin channel! Thanks for your kind words!

@@marchgriffinYes you probably were ahead if your time...your videos were awesome nonetheless. Well if you ever give it a God again I know quite a few of us quilters would love to follow you m I am subscribed now still.

Thanks for this vey informative how to on prep for binding. I agree with others that using a large actual quilt was a great help. The squaring up lesson was vey clear and I certainly will use those recommendations.

are you able to make a video showing how to attach a ruffle to a pillow top going around the corners with a serger? I was told recently that I can attach, GATHER and serge all at the same time to making a slip cover pillow. I have been playing around with my serger and I can get around three sides but when it comes to the final fourth side, I run into trouble. Would you be able to do a video showing how you do this? I would really appreciate it!
