The last line of dialogue goes so hard. The entire dialogue was absolutly impeccably written. Every line counted. And not to mention the VAs that conveyed so much emotion. This series was brilliant, the best I'd confidently say, and I dont believe they will make ever again a series that good. This is peak fiction right here.

The best villains are the ones you understand, the ones you respect. Megatron is an amazing villain who is hard to hate.

Prime’s incarnation of Starscream is despicable, to an extent, but in my perspective, in terms of both comedy at his expense and a few rare moments of brilliance and helpfulness on his part, he’s essentially the Transformers equivalent of Jack Spicer from Xiaolin Showdown.

Ratchet's VA is performing well above any paygrade I imagine he got. The inflections are immaculate. "Even if I were capable do YOU THINK...that I would HAND YOU?? a limitless supply of --?" absolute masterful character work. I can tell Ratchet takes pride in the words he chooses to use when he speaks to others with authority, so he hangs on the words he feels are most important for them to hear.

Okay so shockwave only needed part of a predacon bone to clone a new one, right? And that means it is similar to a DNA test for humans, in that something as small as a hair could work. So why couldn't knockout break a small piece off with his drill or saw, then take only that back? Just large enough for shockwave to be able to clone a new predacon, but small enough to be relatively unseen

But even if you’re held prisoner by him like Ratchet has, Shockwave isn’t sadistic like Starscream or Megatron, and he’s genuinely polite to his “esteemed guests,”. Bonus points if you’re on par with his scientific expertise and speak his high-vocabulary science language. All that aside, the first minute and three seconds does give us audience members a glimpse of what could’ve been a fruitful partnership between Ratchet and Shockwave if not for the war and their respective factions.

This episode personally encapsulates that Autobots and Decepticons could've been more than enemies of they chose to put their differences aside. They share common likes and interests, proving that they can indeed coexist with one another without seeing one another as enemies

This show has shown me how good Megatron is. You can't get good villains who are leaders without them having both prowess, martial skill, and prowess. The honesty, and the sense that he accepts who he is and plays to both his rep and his opponents really shows how he works.

People say Meg is evil and all, did they forgot Megatron was initially a mining robot, a lower class in a caste system? The system Cybertron had back then was basically if you're born in nobility, great! You're set for life. But if you're born into the ghetto? Sorry man guess you're stuck with crackheads and muggers for the rest of your life with no chance to rise. The reason Meg was angry when Orion Pax was chosen and not him is because Meg KNEW the council prefer some naive and soft-hearted idiot to be leader so they can still influence him, while if Meg becomes Prime he'll surely destroy the comfort life the council once had. A hard and brutish life taught Meg things aren't gifted, but rather earned. Optimus would never be able to change the system with just words. "Sometimes the good guys have to do bad things to make the bad guys pay"

Fr, Megs and Optimus came from two very different environments in Cybertronian society. One was a data clerk and the other was a gladiator that was highly respected by the same people in the same class as him. It's still important to note that Megs did end up losing his way when he started doing space crack tho
@Voidvoidvoid-

Wait wait, a miner? I think that's idw. If your talking about tfp's backstory, Megatron was showed as the gladiator :) The first 2 paragraphs are from idw. What you mean there is, Megatron was rejected for his speech (I don't remember what Ratchet said abt him though) meanwhile the council was moved away and inspired by Orion's words. Orion was only chosen as a Prime *for* his wise words, but Orion never had a choice to be a Prime, or decline the offer. Megatron *could* have been a Prime for his strength shown in his previous battles in the pit.

I may be slightly nostalgic for TFP because I grew up with it, but honest to God this is one of, if not THE, best versions of Megatron. He's physically imposing and unbeatable for anyone other than Prime, yet he's also on another intellectual level when it comes to deception/persuasion. You can almost be fooled into thinking he's a good guy with how logical his arguments are, yet you can just tell he's being completely dishonest the entire time. Its that slightly unhinged nature of, 'I know you know I'm bullshitting you, but will that do anything to stop you?' that gets me, the way Megatron's eyes go wide and he has that manic look to his face, of someone who is juuuuust about to tip over the edge into total insanity yet remains in control. Absolute favourite version of Megs by a long shot.
