The worst older movies are 1000 times more entertaining than anything modern. So damned funny, and probably not intentionally.

I was in college when some dorm mates were watching Silent Night, Deadly Night. I wandered into the common room around the time the topless girl let her cat in. I watched watched that scene in amused disbelief that anything that bad was ever filmed. Then one of them told me that they had the sequel. I asked if it was any better. God no, it's worse. I had better things to do on a Friday night, like anything, and left to find that thing.

This is one of my favorite KZbin Channels. It does have one problem: it has automatic subtitles. Most Channels doesn't anymore. It means that the substantial minority, who cannot disable their automatic subtitles, and whose problem KZbin has been neglecting for years, keep having to disable subs for every video they watch. This frustrates to the point of desperation.

The vast majority of our videos have manual subtitles, it is just matter of time, they may not be down be at time of release.

Thanks again DCR crew! Fave Lom film has gotta be "A Shot in the Dark" but 1st film I saw him in was "Spartacus", where he played an emissary for the Cilecian Pirates, when he met with Kirk Douglas. :)

sorry to be 'that guy', but in context they weren't at the strip club as an ordinary date, it was an undercover sting operation to try and find the bad guys

Vincent Price was GOLD in the 1951 film "His KInd of Woman!" with Bob Mitchum and Jane Russell. It was an Howard Hughes production, so. Also, St. Louis was very posh in the early 20th century, not so much now. William Burroughs also came from there

As long as you were showcasing Miriam Hopkins as a hag left over from the old movies, I'm surprised you did not mention the name of the actress who played the PA, her name being Gale Sondegaard. Gale Sondegaard you could say was also a hag left over from the old movies of the 40's and 50's. Sondegaard often played in horror films back in the 1940's. She often played the mysterious housekeeper and even played the spider woman back in 1945. She got blacklisted from films in 1950 and did not return to films until around the time Savage Intruder was made.

I loved the Son's of Hercules series. In the Land of Darkness is one of my favorites! I seem to remember the bear kept following until they crossed a narrow bridge then the hero wrestled the bear on the bridge. The bear gave up and went back home. My young self was so glad the bear was not killed. Then I enjoyed watching the hero killing multiple soldiers. Go figure.

7:43 For just a moment, I was hoping that the disfigurement was not due to a (really brutal) stroke, but because she was an evil creature in a human suit. We could have had a better bad movie: "Psychotic Santa vs. Demonic Nun".

At 7:12 you can see the car overturning and it misses the stuntman by inches, that had to be a near fatal mistake! Mickey Rooney wrote an open letter about the first Silent Night Deadly Night calling the makers of the film "scum". He then went on to star in Silent Night Deadly Night 5.

Well, what you need to know about the sequels is... they drop the killer Santa thing. Heck, the 4th movie is an unrelated witch movie that they rebranded to fit the series. It's not until the remake that we go back to a killer Santa Claus the series is known for, unless you count Mikey Rooney hamming it up a Santa outfit in the 5th movie as a killer Santa. (Ironic, since he was one of the main voices pushing to boycott the original.)

If I remember correctly the only other appearance of Patrick in the Bret Easton Ellis-verse is in The book Lunar Park and that book gets very meta in its premise, last thing I remember is that BEE gave the rights to Roger Avary because he was a fan of his adaptation of The Rules of Attraction.

During the street murder scene, you can actually briefly see a crowd of people watching in the background because the cameraman was too inept not to exclude it in the shot.
