Bought 8500 Epson and had paper out cassette 1 issues. Making that stupid noise as per the video. Replaced printer and choose 8550 instead. 2 weeks worked well with 180gsm Kodak photo paper and I did not print for 3 days. Printier with that stupid noise again. "Paper out" in cassette 1.. So how could it work and suddenly not. Epson told me to go back to the store and they will replace the printer.... So I now will need go and replace another printer for the third time.

either ur rollers are dirty. Or the paper width sensor is. did you try running a roller cleaning from the maintenance options? Am dealing with the same issue. hopefully what didnt wrk for me does for you. also check for any loose paper scraps in the rear paper feeder area.
