From a protagonist that detest piloting to Piloting one last time to fight for his rivals thats already dead the moment they encountered each other, and for Humanity progression and Seeing goodness in everyone in the future. forgive me for the misinformation, its like Gundam Turn A kind of Peace before the moonrace came. which probably what Amuro would hoped in both before moonrace and the endings of it. Char from toying with Gundam the moment he saw the new MS as a side quest to fighting Amuro in a gundam that he himself leaked it for them to make it, which i think is both of a way of toying with amuro and fighting him one last time. excellent characters and its best to keep them as Newtype Ghost. they deserve their rest. the discrimination, the wars, the exploit yet he goes with it anyway. cant wait to see his appearance like on hathaway movie. just a brief cameo.

The problem for me was that I watched MSG through ZZ right before CC. It felt like they're was an entire series worth of character development missing, and the time they wasted on ZZ could have been used for that. There was that throwaway dialouge at the end, but that's not enough. And then expecting us to care about BelNOTchicka getting fragged unrealistic when she just appears in that film.

This is probably the best video I've seen about IDEON. While I know of the series and the films and I'm a fan of both Tomino's and Kogawa's works...I have not sat down and watched the whole series. I need to change that. I've been thinking a lot about the line from the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA reboot: "All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again. And again." Actually High Streamer was the original, then the movie AND then Beltorchika's Children came out as a graphic novel of High Streamer.

Yeah I'm half way through the movie and feeling no attachment to any of the characters, the chaos at the beginning was cool, but honestly very confusing, I was expecting some kind of explanationist diologe... An there isn't, it's definitely something I'm going to have to watch twice to understand, as I watched it, I assumed there was an anime before this an as I am dipping my toes into the gandam fiction with this film, I thought it was just one of those movies that you have to watch the anime first to know what's going on. But that's not the case unfortunately. I'm interested in reading the cross bow manga through. I can see the creators passion in the designs an animation. So I feel the manga will do it justice. Cool video I'll check out the other series an films you mentioned I watched on on Netflix a few months ago.

I'm watching Gundam for the first time, in order, and it took awhile for me to like Zeta, but F91 was instant then it hit the 54 minute mark and what the fuck is happening? Blue hair is in a Gundam, then at the bakery, then breaks into the estate, then in a crowd, something happens and his dad gets hurt. Then they're in a gundam in space and his dad dies, then in a sunny field. Im only half way into my egg nog I'm definitely not drunk or barely buzzed, yet watching F91 feels like I'm either wasted or having a fucking stroke with all the jump cuts. It sucks because up until the 54 minute mark I was loving it. They need to give it a proper OVA re-release because they were onto something good. Just the fact that its always Fed VS Zeon and the good VS bad sterotype we get what was going to be a series where even though the Crossbones are the bad guys, they care more about human life than the good guys. It was such a great dark twist.

After Cecily.was Seabook searched so desperately and frantically to find her! Till the end when he found the flower floating in space that led him to her! Very nice! Endless Wind a beautiful score! I really love Cosmo throughout Be Invoked, especially his final frustration at the end. I've always felt like Arthur Clarke would have written something like Ideon if he was asked to write the story of a 50 episode mecha anime. The story itself is definitely on par with his novels. I consider either Ideon or Turn A to be Tomino's magnum opus, with Zeta being a very very close 3rd.

I like how the giant robot is judging them on their actions while also brutally murdering loads of people. It's almost biblical.

Beltochika's children is the canon of CCA. Tomino, in the afterward of BC, says that its THE ending he wanted for Char and Amuro. It was the suits at Sunrise who forced him to change it. BTW you dont even mention the ORIGINAL char's counterattack, which was Gaia Gear. The original title as it was being published in Newtype magazine was Char's counterattack Gaia Gear. It was only changed because of the movie coming out, and it became just Gaia Gear.
