I saw in another video that a teacher was complaining that teachers in Twenix have to maintain a rating that is almost impossible. Is that true in your opinion?
@gratefulgnomadsАй бұрын
Hi! Thanks for the comment! No, I don't think it's impossible to maintain a 4.7 out of 5 rating. I think Twenix does a good job explaining what is expected of you as a Tweacher. As long as you follow the curriculum and do what is expected of you, I don't think it's hard to maintain a good rating at all.

Well, your vlog is making me so emotional as I used to study a lot of Geography mercilessly for numerous entrance examinations so much so that in the end I became depressed and very sad. Because most of my money and resources are exhausted in expensive studies and sitting indoors and completely cutting off from all outside world. Still, I used to wonder a lot about these places like Chile or Djibouti or an island in pacific ocean etc studying about them while locating them on school atlas. But I never fathom that there are actually people like you who are exploring these places in reality. I don't know if I could ever do that but I deeply appreciate you guys and your spirit to become full time travelers.
@gratefulgnomadsАй бұрын
Again, thank you so much! It's not always easy to travel full time. We make a lot of sacrifices to be able to do this so it's really nice to hear when others appreciate our efforts. I hope you can explore some of the places you learned about. Where are you from?
@0rhythm_divine02 ай бұрын
So magnificent!!! I remember this place from a travel show that I watched a couple of years ago, starring my favorite Korean actors in it. But your video vlog is more personal and believable as I can see it from the eyes of ordinary travelers and not some celebrities. I was so surprised to see such good amenities provided in that stay in place that you showed here. I can't believe that this far far far away place in Latin America is so beautiful, peaceful and travel friendly. Otherwise, I didn't have very positive image about latin American countries in my mind. So thanks so much for giving me a more fresh yet positive perspective. I bet this was an unforgettable experience for you guys. And I can't help but to say that you guys are so lucky to have found each other like soulmate who have such common passion for traveling. I wish, I could ever meet a man like that with whom I feel safe and secure to travel to other parts of the world.

Americans are truly the most amazing people in earth. I don't know what it is but in every walks of life they are the pioneers, leaders and most exceptional people to do that...extraordinary stuff which us, people from conservative, backward and traditional societies never ever think to do. I feel so trapped, suffocated and sad with my attitude for life. I watch your channel every day to encourage myself to go out and live more and shine like a brave, courageous and extraordinary Americans. But nay...next I am again reading more some different subject with Americans only, like politics, economics, business management, technology, global politics, English language, and what not. 😅

It's actually nice and rightly said functional for travelers. Though I appreciate little more open space like terrace and few big windows. But what is more fascinating for me is that you guys have so much energy and enthusiasm to really being travelers and not some tourists. And here it is me, a 37 yr old not even having a passport. I am so sad that all my life, I kept studying for college entrance examinations, then college passing examinations and then job entrance examinations burning all my youth. But I always kept dreaming about traveling silently in my heart. I have traveled solo on few occasions because I don't have friends or a boyfriend and never felt safe in my own country but yes, I can reaffirm that I have a travelers soul. I just chose wrong path to fulfill my dreams. I actually aspired to become a career diplomat but could not cleared the exam for it. So, now I am someone who is very angry and disappointed with life to never have lived such free-spirited and liberated lifestyle as you people. But you guys are motivating me to do something outrageous and out of box to fulfill my dream to travel at least to few most popular countries. 😊

Rachel could you please make another separate video to teach about an good teaching resume for all freelancers and traveling teachers. I know there are a lot of other channels doing this yet I need a more clearer perspective from travellers like you!
@gratefulgnomads2 ай бұрын
Hey there! My opinion about resumes is that you should keep it simple. Make it easy for them to see your education and relevant work experience. The flow of my resume goes like this: I have my name and contact information centered at the top. Then I have my degrees and TEFL certificates listed next with the names on the left and the completion dates on the far right. Below that, I have all my teaching experience, including being a babysitter and camp counselor when I was a teenager. The final section below that lists all the jobs I've had that have nothing to do with teaching. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have other questions :)
@0rhythm_divine02 ай бұрын
@@gratefulgnomads , Wow! It's so reassuring that you actually tell to keep it simple, otherwise all other ESL teachings channels which teaches about online teachings complicated the process so unnecessarily. It's kind of bluffing to use such heavy verbose language to put into CV and whatever achievements to show as if one is so extraordinary person. This gave me so much pressure for a simple teaching job while in reality it should be simple and straightforward. And yes, many thanks for answering my questions. I appreciate your kindness! 🙂

Hey Rachel, could you please tell me, more about the paymet processes about this Twenix platform? Besides, what kind of CV format I should submit to it for maximum chance to get accepted. I am so very much interested in this teaching gig because its so suitable for my current skill set and little difficult financial postion. I have done some enquiry reagrding it which tells me that I need a Wise account to get my payments and since I already has this Paypal acount, so its kind of little too confusing to handle so many accounts. And one more thing, do this Twenix hire its teachers only for temporary basis??
@gratefulgnomads2 ай бұрын
Hi! Payments are made monthly. Between the 1st and 4th of the month, you'll request your payment for classes taught the previous month. Their platform generates an invoice that you can check for accuracy before submitting it. Once you submit that invoice, the payment will be transferred with Wise. I have so many different accounts: Wise, PayPal, Payoneer. Because every platform has a different payment method. It takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of it it's not hard to manage. Twenix has several workshops that teach you about all these things. You'll be able to join them once you've applied and been accepted. Once you've been accepted, you can stay on as long as you want. There is no requirement about the number of classes you have to teach every month. So my advice is to focus on getting through the application process and then focus on setting up your Wise account and anything else you need to do. I hope this helps!

Have you filled out the application yet? If your initial application is accepted, Twenix will send you a video with instructions for recording a video. But here are some general tips for recording videos: make sure you're in a quiet place so there's no background noise, use a microphone so we can hear you clearly (it doesn't need to be a fancy microphone. The headset you use to teach will be enough), and record the video in a well-lit room (ideally in front of a window). I hope this helps! Thanks for the question :)
