Travel Hacking 101: How to Travel for Cheap (or Free!)

After many years of successful travel hacking and being asked by several friends for recommendations, we finally sat down to record a video to explain how we use credit card sign-up bonuses to earn free flights, hotel stays, and more.

Spend $4k for the 1st three months to get 60k points that equals to $750. Unless I'm missing something that is either taboo or loophole to tell, this isn't really free money. My monthly spending doesn't exceed $4k. Except for my mortgage loan, that doesn't except card payment.

Thanks for your comment. To be clear, the minimum spend is $4,000 in 3 months. Not $4,000 per month. If you think about all the regular spending that can be put on a credit card (utility and phone bills, gas, groceries, household items, going out, entertainment, gifts, etc.) it really isn't that difficult, especially if you have a big purchase coming up (like the new computer I discussed in the video). I bought a new laptop and a watch with a new card and immediately got the sign-up bonus. It's all about being strategic and taking advantage of good offers when they pop up. Hope that clarifies things a bit!
