With someone please make a video that explains how to use these instructions? I have been using Lego for ages and I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. I can’t believe I have to go looking for instructions on how to use the instructions.

3:42 "Competition is always good in a market based capitalist economy..." No it's not "always good", there are many negative side effects of this need for competition. One of which you spend the rest of the video highlighting.

I knew about this to build retired sets in general, but I knew certain rare parts would still be extraordinarily expensive individually so this is a great video to find other work arounds

I was looking up set 60253 just to see the part inventory and your MOC came up, so I watched it. Really well done, the colours make it. I've got two trucks unopened new in box, I'm not a huge AFOL collector but I happen to have two ice cream trucks. I was going to build one but oh well, left it untouched. I still haven't built a new Lego set in 28 years.

Not buying second hand anymore for fear of receiving knock off bricks. How is this legal? Why hasn't Lego Group sued Webrick and people like you for promoting this?

I just entered my foray of LEGO MOC building this past year. I am slowly growing a following and I recently joined the LUGOLA here in LA. I have a very busy work schedule so making it out to the cons and showing off my creations is hard. I am always looking for new mocs whether it be on IDEAS, Rebrickable, or BrickLink Studio. I love taking a look at other peoples creations and gleeming techniques and incorporating those same techniques in my MOCs but with a different style. I love this community. Which is why I am glad I found this channel to further see other peoples creations and talent. Thanks for these videos. Subbed for sure! I am curious about your discord too.

No off-brand (non-LEGO) brick is as solid, satisfying and stays together like LEGO bricks. Also, I don't prefer to support the Chinese economy, where almost all these off brands are manufactured. LEGO has brilliant designs and amazing customer service. Also, you can buy LEGO for big discounts at various times of the year and maintain an inventory of quality LEGO bricks/sets. And by buying genuine LEGO sets, I can start building right away, thanks to the numbered bags. If I order hundreds of parts, jumbled up in miscellaneous piles, it will take me hours to sort those parts before I can begin construction. And the finished product, less any pieces Webrick didn't send, will be far less quality.

Some time ago, I recreated the torso and pelvis section of Lego's Infinity Saga set of Iron Man, in order to create customizable body parts to work with when I make lego mocs in the future. However, even to this day, a part of me is still wondering- even if I have modified these Iron Man torso and pelvis sections, and have CONTINUED to modify them more and more as time went by...can I still call the mocs that I use these modified sections on as "my own creations"? I mean...yes, the modifications were of my own design, but they were used on something that I copied from an existing, official lego set. this leads me to this general question- are official lego sets that get modified by lego fans considered as "mocs", if, at their origin, they were official lego sets?

Thanks for showing some of the flaws in the design choices. However, I was curious.. Do the bricks feel snug and do they stay together in other places? How do they compare to Lego?

Bro this is so good I think you should make this building something people can actually buy
@karatefrosch172 ай бұрын
Just wanted to pop in to tell everyone here that you dont have to buy Lego specifically there is a TON of good city themed sets from other brands(which are also not copying lego or doing anything illegal at all) you can start out with. For indiviudal bricks there literally is no better quality than Gobricks, cheaper than buying equivalent legi pieces and the quality is superior(specifically color consistency)
@Juke1722 ай бұрын
Maybe Lego could do a remix-version of the old sets(if they ever run out of ideas...), so new and old builders get something new but also familiar. Or just introduce the old sets again to the market. I mean they would definitely get off the shelves fast.

Man when i found out that the lego Passenger plane, Lego Police station, and lego chima sets that i had back in my childhood were rare, that just made me depressed. Aint no way they're sitting in some landfill now in a garbage bag instead of built in my room. Damn myself. (This was like 2012. Just goes to show you how fast lego sets become inaccessible.)

As a lawyer and Lego fan, I noticed your comment on fake retired sets (e.g., fake Cafe Corner), these products are illegal. While consumers ordering parts and copying Lego's design is legal (even with alternative brand bricks), the distribution of sets using Lego's design is illegal and infringes Lego's copyright which they own on every set they have designed, regardless if Lego is producing that set or not. Lego owns the copyright of every set they've designed for 120 years from the conception of the design. They also own copyright to the instructions, box design, set photos and print designs. As am a M&A lawyer and not a copyright lawyer I am unsure if you open yourself up to potential liability by promoting these illegal products. While reviewing alternate brands is fine I would probably avoid making content on brands that steal Lego's copyrights regardless of whether that set is retired or not.
