How to Pack Your LEGO For Moving!

An easier solution i found was putting each set in it's own garbage bag so it'll all be in there. I then put the bags into plastic storage bins and used expanded foam bags to keep them from moving too much.

Sounds like a good method! I'd imagine garbage bags may be more expensive, and harder to tell what is inside after it's packed. It's whatever works though! Thanks for your comments.

Sounds like waaaaaay more work. Just do what this guy says and carefully place in boxes. If they break… so what? They’re LEGO sets lmao. Tbh they likely needed to be cleaned anyways. So why not clean and rebuild? Or if lazy… just rebuild what small amount broke. There is ZERO need to but SOOOO F*******ING MANY TRASH BAGS AND EXPAND FOAM BAGS. Like WTF even is this??? You couldn’t even tell what’s in each bag and easily lose parts in that bag. This is terrible advice. Like, REALLY bad

The way I packed mine for a few different moves was straight up just bubbled wrapping every single set individually instead of cling wrap so that each set is individually insulated and protected from scratches or bends as they all get clumped together in the boxes

That sounds like a good method too. I think bubble wrap may be more expensive. But overall it's just whatever method makes you feel the best and protects your collection how you want!

Overseas is another beast, I'd say add as much padding as you can and start praying!

Im moving at the moment at freaking out on the rebuild process im definitely enduring lol My ISS, Lunar lander, original AT-AT are going to be in shambles 😅 Luckily i can shove my fragile Hubble telescope inside the Shuttle!

I would assume the same thing would apply with Lego fighter jets like 1600ct pieces f22 , f35 etc. Trying to figure out ideas such as this to secure my models properly so they don’t fall apart etc while transport.

I can definitely recommend the saran wrap as a great way to keep the pieces together but you just have to be careful.

Does the shrink wrap cause the bricks to stick to it and pull apart?

Does this works when moving between country? Do i have to wrap, and bubble wrap so then i can make sure protect my legos?

It will work, if you are moving them yourself then be careful, but if movers are handling it for you then you will want to have more padding.
