I've been several times One time, my friend Jason and me walked to sit on wooden bench by the big cark park. We'd got our lunch from Co-op. We are both big guys, get to bench and put sandwiches etc on it. But we both sat on same side. Bench goes vertical , we fly backwards, food flies up in the air ! If you had filmed that , it would have gone viral 😅😅

My great grandmother stayed in the tenements on Crow Rd, overlooking the railway. That would be the 60’s and early 70’s…

Thanks for posting. This gives a good indication of the character of the people of Scotland, or actually the lack of for letting this cemetery get in thus condition. They can't even mow the lawn. People here in America often find volunteers to clean up old stones and grounds.

Interesting comment, Thanks. I really don't think America is all good, with homicide, crime, violence, drugs, and the highest incarceration of people in prison in the world. 🖖

Typical American pointing the finger at graffiti on a wall across the street while their house is burning down behind them. We have free healthcare btw, do you? Commenting on the upkeep of a cemetery in the UK while popping pills LOL!

1954, living at Westerton was in trouble with Mum, so went to meet dad after work,, at renfrew Airport, reaching the ferry , no money, just joined all the workers with their bikes, which filled the ferry, some man paid for me , a penny ithink , missed dad on the way back the ticket collector let me go for free, never forgot the friendliness on the workers.

The row of buildings starting today with Timpson was the car dealership and garage A.C. Mitchell and Sons. I remember having go there often to get our unreliable cars of the 1960s repaired there. 😎

Lived up the road in Tollcross for 5 years about a decade ago. Loved it out that way. You hear that places like Parkhead, Tollcross and Shetleson are rough which they can be but not for the average person just living their life. Its only rough if your involved in all that or if you're a young team age male, I was well into my 20s. All the regeneration out that was is fantastic. Tollcross Park was an amazing thing to have on your doorstep. It would have been handy to have been a Celtic fan so I could walk to games but I watch my football at ibrox and even that was only a 15 minute drive if you went early and left on the 85th minute. I LOVED living in Glasgow. ❤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

My part if town. You should go to Clarence Drive when it rains heavily and record all the cars bobbing and people think their cars are worthy of the underwater world when that road turns into a river lol Sleepy part of the city and lived really close to there. I wonder if the Paddington Bear toy is still in the window about the shop directly opposite the Clarence Drive junction? Lovely capture and nice wee trip down memory lane. Thanks for sharing 👍😃👍🎥🥾🥾🥃

Good of you to show The Riverside Museum and Glenlee which isn't in Govan but in Partick in The Westend.
@SeeScotland

The shots of The Glenlee, Riverside Museum are taken from the banks of the Clyde on the Govan side of the water. It's the view from Govan across the water. A little known fact "From the nineteenth century, Partick was part of Govan parish and therefore in Renfrewshire."
