One often wonders how many people the paint factories would have to lay off. If overnight all the lowlife Muppets decided that defacing railway property with their mindless graffiti is no longer fun. Ahh but alas when you have the brain capacity of a single cell Amoeba and the intelligence of a stick insect, coming to such a decision would be nigh on impossible.

What locomotives were there

I bet these drivers can tell us all a tale or two about how they drove trains in the freight sector and how they struggled up banks on the railways from Australia. Terry from the UK 👍

6:05. Just look at the state of the track. I know the tele lens makes it look worse.
@terryreay56449 күн бұрын
Quite a lot of weight to pull and stop! They remind me of the Class 37's we have here in the UK. You can hear the sound long before approaching and in vision as you see it coming. Brilliant!

It's not very common either. Must have been a loco rebalance for Sydney

4:32: Locomotive's bell enabled before departing a station? Since when this rule is also in Australia? In USA I understand. But in Australia... Someone that explaining.
@Schony74710 күн бұрын
It's not common in Australia either and not common at Southern Cross for that matter. So I really don't know.

3:47: Pacific National locomotives with a passenger train? Is this common? 5:28: Double notification sound in a Station? Whats was the cause? Ending of say a train, and a beginning of saying the next train?
@Schony74710 күн бұрын
PN has the hook and pull contract for Journey Beyond Rail. Great Southern, Overland, Ghan and Indian Pacific. The announcement would have announced the next service. The whistle may have been for a train out of view on the opposite platform.

I heard that in HK they used OLC devices to control the track switch and the catenary wire switch. There's a sensor or something on the catenary wire, and when a tram needs to turn to another track, a rod at the top of the trolley pole is rise to contact with the sensor on the catenary wire, then the track changes. But nowadays they use VECOM radio systems. I also heard that some tram system use power-on-power-off switches, just like traditional trolleybuses, but I can't find enough informations about that…

3:52 What is a "signal breach" Is it when a tram goes through a stop signal
@Schony74723 күн бұрын
It could be that. It could also be a general system failure which happens from time to.time as well
