I use this machine for the first time today and my lower back is super sore but I feel like it was a good workout. I feel like I was using muscles I’ve never used before lol Edit: my lower back has been killing me all week and I saw another video saying this specific workout is potentially dangerous. I regret using it with so much weight. I suppose it'd be ok on a very low weight

This machine mimics barbell rows so doing it with both arms is fine. Doing it with one arm is also fine - more like a dumbbell row. You also get the benefit of twice the resistance opportunity for each arm using 2 instead of 1.

Nowadays you need someone to turn on the spa machines for you prior to usage. This is why I wish the amenities were still coin-operated and I bet staff does too as they have to work a little extra now

I tried this one for the first time today and maybe I wasn’t high enough because those pads kept moving and it was super awkward and I didn’t understand why they would move so much. Biceps are my least favorite exercises.. my wrists are so bad and I just struggle with any bicep movement. Next time I’ll try to go a bit higher on the seat?

Thank you for this video! I just left PF and am in the parking lot watching this- I freaked out and felt super self-conscious that I wasn’t doing anything right, and got crazy anxious and left. Do not pulverize the liquid. The particles get in the air and we all breathe them in the gym. Instead, have the paper towel touch the nozzle of the bottle and then gently squeeze to wet the paper towel. For a few weeks now I have been asking the staff and manager of my local Planet Fitness gym to let me know what the cleaning liquid is and its ingredients, but they all dance around the question. There is absolutely no critical thinking. They don’t get that they breathe that stuff too. Planet Fitness, please post the cleaning liquid ingredients on your website!

First time to a PF and tried this machine for yucks waiting for my son. I'm pretty strong for 63, I've done almost exercise for back over the years. Had such a good response I went back and used it again for reps after my workout. For me it was effective in the full contraction portion, really lit up my back.
