If you jump right on top of the factorum, they'll shred you instantly. Jump 5 to 10km away. Try to flank their position by about 3km. Then you can get an idea of which scenario has loaded in and engage them in detail one at a time rather than all at once.

I set up a teleporter on top of a crypt and just hammered them with fire arrows just started playing this games got me pretty good

Another way to do it, is to use a bow. Preferably the Drawg bow, as that has added poison damage. Fire two poison arrows and then switch to frost arrows and you can kill them that way. My best time was about 4 seconds. Only because I hit it the high hp area. And I was really lucky. But it doesn't take much longer than that to kill it.

When i use this >> "<color=black><size=90><voffset=95>⚫" whether circle to square, it comes out looking like netting instead of solid, am i doing something wrong or is it a gfx setting perhaps or?

Meadows - Leather Black Forest - Skip, keep leather Swamp - Root Mountains - Mixed Fenris/Drake helmet Plains - Mixed Padded/Root chest Mistlands - Eitr weave but honestly Fenris is my preferred here because the movement speed is so important Ashlands - Mixed Ask/Flametal helmet The root is my favorite and I would keep it for the entire game if I could

I had a leviathan flip and destroy my boat once... wasn't even up against it. At the start we could jump off the boat to its back but I took off early and got it ready to roll while my brother continued mining till he was in the water and the plan was he would tread water in place and I would bring the boat in to pick him up. Suddenly the boat started doing flips and rolls then exploded. Been kinda weary about mining chitin ever since.

I knew it all but the offset and rotation, it’s already helped my large signs look better not being able to see the actual sign part of it. I can’t seem to get the xray effect to work, maybe cause console emojis are limited? Either way great video

If the X-ray effect isn’t working, check your graphics settings and make sure that screen space ambient occlusion (SSAO) is turned on; we play on PC so I’m not sure if it’s different, but that seems to fix it for a number of people. Also you can use <sprite=1> as another option for emojis; change the number for different emojis. Hopefully this helps, but like I said we play on PC so I’m not entirely sure what all is different. Either way, thank you for watching! 😀

This is really cool, especially the X-ray effect. As both sides of this disc are different but seem to always face the same direction even if the sign is turned arount I'm wondering if there is a way to turn arount the disc. Maybe you can input the rotation arount the z-axis or something? Does anyone know?

Fun fact with the "Xray" effect : you can make one-way "glass" with it. Since no other effects will be rendered if you look through a x-ray disc/square/whatever-shape-you-want (including other signs contents), putting a white+black pair close together renders fully black on the black side, but transparent (well, "xray") on the white side. (Just in case, the pair used : <color=#FFF><size=60><voffset=70>● // <color=#000><size=60><voffset=70>● )

I often keep the root vest on while walking in the plains as the pierce resistance makes deathsquitos just an annoyance, even 3 of them at the same time

You can have a lot of fun with that transparent solid shape. Fill the inside of a portal distorting your view through it. Use it as a sort of looking glass in the Mistlands, you can see through fog, mist, water while looking through it

how close do you have to be for them to spawn? And how frequent do they spawn?

Every five minutes they can spawn if a player is in range. I’m not sure what the range is, but a bit farther than the range of workbenches seems to work!

And sadly trophy drops are even across all animal star levels; meaning star variants or for deer horned varieties won’t drop trophies any more often then the regular ones. I think it’s 5% chance for all creatures asides bosses

There was a time that starred deer always dropped a trophy. Currently, deer have a 50% chance to drop a trophy according to the wiki.

I've been in the swamps a while. Abominations are a nuisance now. I'm minding my own business, an abomination shows up. Not too hard to kill. Oh boy, another trophy. Back to work - another one! I have all the drops I need from them and try to avoid them now. Kind of like trolls - what do you do when you have a chest full of troll hides? Build another chest to store more of course.

Go into your graphical settings and make sure that screen space ambient occlusion is turned on (SSAO). An update makes it so that this does not work unless SSAO is on. Let us know if this fixed it for you!

A good tip, but this guide is aimed towards total beginners, who won’t yet have a harpoon. You could totally use a flint spear though!
