To move the pigs simply get the Abyssal Harpoon and turn on friendly fire to pull them back to you home base. You will need to build one or to resting cages on your way (if stamina runs out, the pig gets released from the harpoon). I wouldn't bother getting pigs before getting the harpoon.

Cam you explain what the "pet" command does, besides getting boar to love you? Will you get more meat, hides or offspring? I don't understand it's use.
