Ok. First of all Thank Youuu!!!! Your video is clear, precise and to the point and I appreciate that so much. You are the first person I've seen talk about the hinges to move the door to where it needs to be. And that is brilliant because as you know when you're taking the door off sometimes the hinges get bent. I'm layman and do my own home improvement stuff where I rent. I appreciate the details and your explanations and for not being arrogant or condescending. That's huge in my book and I will watch all of your videos. And I will share them. You're awesome keep up the awesome work. ❤

I thought sidewalks were the cities problem, call them to do it. If you must do it then why not either: 1. Lift up the low slap and put dirt, sand, gravel to make it angle up to the other. 2. Move the high slab and remove the root followed by leveling the groung and place the slab back. Just because a hammer can solve one problem doesn't mean all problems can or should be soved by one.

I’m a new supervisor. So when you say tell the manager and office to give your work orders so you can delegate the work to maintenance, do you mean all the work orders ?

In cases like this I think you are better off renting a concrete grinder. The tree root is just going to lift the sidewalk again. Just grind the raised portion. After a few times you'll have to cut out the lifted up portion of the sidewalk, trim the roots and re-pour. Just life in the big city.

You were applying (brushing on) more of the 'bonding' solution right before you started adding concrete. Doesn't the instructions on the bonding solution say to let it dry for 2-3 hours before applying the concrete mix? Like to hear your comment.

My hinges only have 2 knuckles on the door and the 3 knuckles is on the frame so could that be why the door bows and doesn't fit snug

I don’t work maintenance, but I believe that as a leader you it’s part of your responsibility to teach the young guys under you. Not to always use the excuse of there isn’t enough time.

If we hire a guy to paint apartments he will make less than the guy that fixes appliances and a/c units. If the guy painting apartments wants to make more money it's his responsibility to learn more. I will gladly help someone learn more but I will not take them from their responsibilities to be with me when I'm doing repairs. This is not a school, it's a job. If you get hired as the janitor at a school don't expect the principal to teach you to be a teacher. If the janitor wants to become a teacher or a principal it's his responsibility to educate himself. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind teaching, I do it here on KZbin it's just that I will help someone that is willing to put in effort to learn. I don't want to be responsible for them learning

@@MaintenanceManNarratives I get what you’re saying. One only goes as far as they want to go. But with mentors and people that show you the way you go even further. Education is important and if someone shows the will to want to learn I would teach them and not stunt their growth. From janitor to teach there is a big difference there. But when you are talking about the trades you can learn without going to school and having good mentors that’s the beauty of the industry.

Touch up is an art. Windows, lighting, sheen, repairs, height of touch ups all have to be taken into consideration. Many times it just makes more sense to roll a whole wall.

After several years of flawless operation, my Niagra started flushing slowly and burping after as it filled. The problem turned out to be something I have not seen diagnosed previously on the web. The Niagra has an internal air tube that creates additional vacuum during flush. That tube has to be clear for the toilet to work right. In my case, when the tank was removed, the port where the air tube connects to the bowl was totally clogged which I determined by attempting to put water through the tube. It's a small tube and has a sharp bend in it. I was able to use a large snap tie to clear the tube out. Put the tank back on and all fixed.

Here's an honest question: why did you choose this method and not drilling 9 holes in the slab with a mason bit and use foam filler with 2X4 as your leveling guide? It would've cost less.

That boot has plenty of life left. Redwing will restitch that for free. Also getting the tough toe 2 part epoxy allpied will help prevent the moc seam and stitching from ripping, and prevent the leather from wearing down and through at the toe. I personally where traction tred lites, I've moved from the moc toe to the round front due to the moc toe being less durable
